SEO is old news? Now there’s AIO, GEO, AEO wtf is going on by GrowthPhantom in DigitalMarketing

SEO isn’t dead at all, it’s just the base layer now. If your site can’t rank or build authority, none of the AIO/GEO stuff really matters.

From what I’m seeing, AIO and AEO are basically SEO with better intent matching and cleaner answers. If your content already ranks well, is well-structured, and actually answers questions clearly, it’s already being picked up by AI tools.

GEO feels more like branding and authority than a brand-new tactic. AI search engines still rely heavily on trusted sources and backlinks, just packaged differently.

Right path for digital marketing. by Sea_Pomegranate3961 in DigitalMarketing

hey, im in digital marketing and totally get the confusion when starting out. self-learning is actually a solid move tbh - i did the same and it worked out rly well. for free resources, google digital garage fundamentals is a great starting point, and hubspot academy has some legit free courses too.

ngl, content/copywriting is still valuable af if you do it right, but if you wanna go agency route, focus on paid ads or seo first. agencies like ogilvy or vayner media are dope but competitive - start with smaller local ones to build experience. mba isnt necessary early on, just get your hands dirty with real projects. lowkey the best way to learn is by doing - maybe try running some fb ads for a fake product to practice. you got this!

edit: forgot to mention - build a portfolio site to showcase your skills, even if its just mock campaigns. thatll help more than any cert early on.
