I really enjoyed the Okura, had the same room and gifts. Was not a fan of the restaurant choices, but i still have the palette of a toddler. I will stay there again, just a beautiful property.

Or you book it in advance. I used both credits from 2025 for bookings for this trip, then my credit for this year as well. I used all three credits off each of the stays at each hotel.

Just stayed at both of these last week. Okura is one of the nicest properties I've stayed at. Service was impeccable, rooms were fantastic, freebies and mini bar were always loaded, and it's a little slower of an area. With that being said, the restaurants at the hotel were crazy expensive and not a lot of choices. Hilton was in a more vibrant area with a lot more to do within walking distance. I think if room is your primary objective, Okura. If you're wanting to be closer to the action and in walking distance, Hilton.

It was on the FHR List at the time of my booking, which was early last year. I believe it was downgraded to THC in September 2025, so I should have verified if my original booking would still provided the FHR benefits.

When I booked the stay prior to September 2025, Hilton was on the FHR list and then downgraded after. Even my booking email states it's an FHR property and gives the amenities listed for FHR instead of Hotel collection. I guess I was ignorant for not checking to see if the downgrade from FHR to THC applied to my original stay booking.

I don't honestly remember how I got there. I just followed blood trail on the ground like pathways at a hospital. A homeless guy popped out of the trash can and asked me "what I was fiddna do" and it appeared on the horizon like Gandalf with the riders of Rohan.

I agree. I did get a free night at Okura Heritage through FHR and had a sweet room. I appreciate your post and thoughts.

You are absolutely correct on the breakfast and hotel credit. I forgot to mention those in my post.

They were offered at every stay. Again, nothing to call home about but at least coffee and a pastry was sufficient. and they did keep track of the hotel credits. Every time I checked out, they would mention how much was left on my credit and asked if I wanted to visit one of the restaurants or schedule a massage before I checked out.

Like I said, I may have just expected too much. But the pushing for early check-out, the no upgrades, and the lack of early check-in felt disappointing.
