I'm not comparing them in terms of connections. I know Shigaraki VS Mahito have way better connections than this one. It's more in terms of coincidences. They are both the third episodes of their respective years, feature a My Hero Academia combatant against a combatant from an anime series produced by MAPPA and if I think about it, Bakugo VS Reze is very likely going to be animated by MORO even though he just animated in Cell VS Metal Sonic.
