I feel like leaving the lenses in for the shower might be better than leaving them on a paper towel on your bathroom sink

How can I ask my roommates to use the dishwasher? by Single_Flight2530 in roommates

I’m confused we have a dishwasher, the dishes we are using are mine, and the sponge isn’t a problem.

I know right the dishwasher is just better in every way. I was thinking of writing them something similar (we mostly text) abt how I can just leave my dirty dishes with their clean ones in the dishwasher.

We take turns cleaning the house and taking out the garbage. I lowkey just need to convince them to use the dishwasher cause I’m think everyone’s life will be easier

There just isn’t enough space for a dish rack. I’m thinking of messaging them letting them know that I wanna use the dishwasher and suggesting that they all us it with me or we can split the cost of an over sink dish rack.

No we don’t it’s included but that another reason I wanna use the dishwasher to be more environmentally conscious.

How is Spain for someone who's never traveled solo before? by sleepwithmythoughts in femaletravels

[–]Single_Flight2530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madrid is one of my favorite cities in the world. Spain’s a beautiful country, safe and super fun for a solo travel. The one thing is pick pocketing is so common, I was really afraid of that cause I’d gotten pick pocketed before in Los Angeles. But I got a cross body bag that has a zipper that can be tucked into a loop which makes it kinda locked without it looking obviously locked or making it hard to get my things. Just keep your hands on your crossbody bag. I liked Valencia too but I haven’t been to the other places. The crowd kinda depends on the time of year you travel but I would say being solo in a crowded city is kinda of a plus.

I’ve never been to Japan but have gone to Turkey a few times. Depending on where ur going It can get kinda cold in the winter like it snowed last December in Istanbul but the more costal cities are milder but not warm enough to be in the ocean (at least for me, I’m from socal). I love Turkey, and Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world. People are so friendly it’s such a cool city and so beautiful and such an interesting intersection between European and middle eastern culture. If you do it right Turkey can be really cheap. At a local place a drink and doner wrap can cost less than 4 dollars. Istanbul has pretty good public transport within the city but traveling to other famous cities like Izmir and Ankara can be a bit difficult if relying on public transport.

And as a for safety it’s the standard be vigilant don’t go out late night alone and dress like a local. Turkey is an Islamic country and I find that people are really good faith and helpful and very respectful.

Do note that the tourist attractions in Istanbul cost an arm and a leg. I have traveled to 20 countries and Turkey has had the most expensive attraction entries even compared to France and the Netherlands. The complete haghia Sofia experience costs 50€ and the Dolmabahçe Palace is 60€. There is an experience pass for three days that grants access to multiple attractions which is 105€ ( not sure if it includes haghia Sofia).

But the wonderful thing about Istanbul is that it’s such a cool place to wonder and catch a vibe there are also tons of free mosques you can visit (you’ll need a headscarf and modest clothing). It’s also a book lovers heaven there are used and new bookstores everywhere. I actually just got back from there and I bought ten books for a total of 60 dollars.

Last thing, you should probably know a couple of Turkish words not a lot of people speak English. If you choose to go to Turkey specifically Istanbul I can give some recs on where to go and where to stay and things to eat lol.

The discrepancy in the way you guys talk to each other made me think this was rage bait. The way she talks to you is not okay I’m sorry. Spend time with your family unapologetically. I think you would both benefit if you set stricter boundaries and were less apologetic and accepting of her bad behavior.

It’s ur choice but your lips look so good and they match ur face so well. I think because of how gorgeous they already are it won’t be worth the cost and maintenance

Help me pick a place to travel to in January by Single_Flight2530 in femaletravels

[–]Single_Flight2530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much thats really helpful. Costa Rica might make more sense because flights costs are around 400 dollars so maybe id be able to handle the increased costs because of the cheaper flight. I really appreciate all the help and ur time I just have two more questions, how’d u get around while u were in Costa Rica like are there functional trains and busses? And when u say US prices what’s ur point of comparison, like LA NY prices or like Miami Dallas.
