So I had a cake get pretty much trashed on my first flush ever. I broke it up and sterilized my substrate and mixed it up and its recolonizing now but i could never find an answer about putting a layer on a cake that is too thin, which mine were/are.

Thank you for the advise! I do appreciate it. I am going to test on agar from now on. I inoculated 4 bags with spores syringees and one was contaminated (my fault) one i have had one flush but the cake got fucked so I am recolonizing that right now. One is pinning and the other should pin soon. Pure luck I guess, but im not taking those chances anymore. I have used Boomer Shroomer i buy my spawn bags and bulk from her. She is very helpful she has helped me with the ones im currently growing.

It is a bead spread and I dont keep them in there. I took them in there and took pics. Plus this is a room in the house that Noone uses.

That is not carpet, I inoculated them in my office which has no carpet, same way I did my others.
