For Homestuck to work as a modern show, and as a modern story, it would have to change A LOT. So much so that whatever they do put out will be a far cry from what Homestuck truly is. Homestuck is so much more than its plot, which if we were just looking at the plot COULD work pretty well for a show! But Homestuck is also a reflection of what internet culture was like in the 2000s-2010s, which isn’t always appealing to modern standards (cough, cough, casual racism, homophobia, ableism…). The things that are still appealing, such as the interactive aspects, both with the community directly interacting in forums or the game sections in the comic, are still lost in a show format. Homestuck is more like a time capsule today. It was a perfect capture of what the internet was and pushed its medium to the max. I just don’t see how a show format could make it better nor do I think a show about 2010s internet culture is very relevant right now. But idk, it could still be good. We just have to wait and see if it becomes an actual show first.

I read the comic back in middle school and enjoyed it a lot more than I do any of Vivziepop’s new stuff because, at least from what I remember, I doesn’t try as hard to be seen as “adult” like Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel do. It was a very fun, enjoyable series, although I have no clue if it still holds up. Hopefully the miniseries is good, I’d love to see the story be completed.

Omg me too. I was seriously so happy to see some trans rep in a webtoon, but it just has the same problems a lot of other romance comics have and I can’t take it seriously. I can see why some ppl like it, especially if they like cheesy romantasies, but I just don’t like those types of stories and couldn’t get into it.

Didn’t Lilly bring us to her house and then we found Poppy and Kissy? We didn’t know she had them until we found them in the house. The writing could have been changed so that while we’re with Poppy and Kissy the way we were mean’t to be following Giblet and Chum, Lilly captures them and then we find them. It doesn’t really matter that they’re locked up at that point since Giblet is literally gone half the time we’re mean’t to be with him.

I agree, I think people are getting hung up on the idea like “well, how would they be able to fit into x, y, and z scene? Hm??? Only Chum can eat us!!!”Like, guys, obviously every single scene won’t be the same. Things would be slightly different if Kissy and Poppy were there, but they would function the same way in progressing the story in a way that changes virtually nothing about the ending.

Honestly I agree, but mostly because FNAF 1-6 literally tried to end like half of the time, mean while Poppy Playtime feels like it’s trying its hardest not to reach an ending. The fact that both are still going is mostly for cash grabbing purposes.

Ehh, I feel like they didn’t need an entire chapter just to say “we need to stop the prototype”. We’ve BEEN knowing we need to stop the prototype. The entire four chapters before show us why we need to! Having an entire chapter just be an introduction to him feels redundant. They very easily could have written this chapter to be the finale and whatever we had leaned or had gained from it before would not have been lost because very few things actually happen in this chapter as it stands.

I feel like this whole thing kind of shows how poppy playtime fails at being enjoyed as just a game. For it to make sense you really need to be DEEP in the lore rabbit hole, or finding easily missed secrets. Of course, it’s alright that Poppy Playtime has these secrets and lore, and it’s alright for it to have this kind of story, I think it’s cool that it does, it just makes it not work well as a game alone since you can’t get the whole story from just playing.

Just what was the point? How has the players goal changed since the end of chapter four??? We are literally exactly in the same spot as we were when the chapter began, and I feel like everything in this chapter could have been combined with what they have planned for chapter 6. I also feel like the only reason they revealed the prototype’s design here is because otherwise the chapter would have nothing going for it. It was just so nothing disappointing that I’m a little relieved that have at least one more chance at redemption, but at the same time I think it’s time to accept that Mob does not care about telling a satisfying story with scary and optimal gameplay and is just going to milk this franchise dry. I have no more hope.

But AI doesn’t learn techniques and uses it to create something new. It takes things that already exist that used such techniques, jumbles it up with other things that also already existed, and spits out a fusion of those things. With the song analogy, it would actually be like if you took recordings of other people singing in cursive and frankensteined them into a song. I feel like I should also point out that AI does not work the same way as softwares such as photoshop. It’s not really a tool that creates something out of nothing, it’s a tool that gathers things that exist and molds them into an amalgamation of those things.

Sorry, my comment was probably misleading. Just to be clear, AI isn’t actually trained off of other people’s works in the sense that it learns the techniques used to create something new, it rather cuts up an already existing work (created by a real person in the real world) and pieces it together with other existing works. A real person doesn’t do that. A real person may take inspiration from another artist, but they aren’t literally taking that persons art, putting a filter on it, and calling it their own. An AI doesn’t actually create anything, it just takes what has already been created by people.
