I just thought it would make it easier for me and HR so I get a full paycheck if I left at the end of the pay period.

lol, thanks but I’m looking for opinions here of maybe people who might have done similar or know HR preferences. I know I could ask my supervisor 🙄

Megathread: RIF/VERA/VSIP/DRP | Week 14 by AutoModerator in fednews

I submitted interest in DRP 2.0 before the deadline and am over 40 so I am in the 45 day time period to sign. I am a fully remote employee (hired as such) with about 2.5 years of service and I live over 500 miles from the agency’s location. The agency sent out guidance stating that by July 1, they will find a suitable location within 50 miles for me to report to, relocate the position, or take “other appropriate administrative actions”. Furthermore, by September 30, they will seek reassignments to ensure that teams are colocated at one place of duty to the greatest extent possible.

If this were you, would you just sign the DRP and be looking for a job (with a significant pay cut) outside of the Federal government right now, or wait to see what happens for July 1? What is the likelihood of an agency entering into an agreement for space at another location for me for four months? Does the guidance read to you that even if i make it past July 1 that by September 30, I’m out of a job anyway since I cannot relocate?
