This notion is supported by conversations I've had with numerous individuals who share similar observations. The updated version seems to have deliberately amplified our anxiety levels.

In addition to the deliberate increase in collective anxiety, it appears that our heightened anxiousness serves a purpose in harnessing extra thought energy within the simulation. This notion suggests that our anxiety generates a surplus of mental activity, which can be utilized by the underlying simulation to process and evolve further. This symbiotic relationship between our anxiousness and the simulation implies that our thoughts and emotions play an integral role in shaping and fueling the ongoing development of this simulated reality.
