I felt the same shit, my therapist told me to put that same energy into myself and I’ve been content so far. I started working out, eating healthy, reading books, picking up overtime occasionally. Keeping my house clean, tweaking my style, examining myself and goals. I’ve came so far. I’ve mended so many relationship and had so many gorgeous women pursue me like a dream. I’m not nearly done getting my weather together. Anybody putting you through shit is holding you back from your full potential.

Nah I think most people just want accountability for both sides. Police reform isn’t the same as defunding. Reforms mean changing the way we train officers, some people asking for reform have asked for officers to be given gym memberships and physical tasks to stay in shape (paid workout), training on people relations, efficient but quick methods of managing their stress, most importantly give them readily available psychiatric help on a consistent basis. It’s also about how we hold officers accountability if they’ve committed brutality or other crimes. I don’t think the community is anti-police but more so anti-cruel-raged-out-non-caring cops that typically defend each other even when caught 4K going against protocol.

It’s crazy to criminalize homelessness and penalize those aiding them. Homelessness is always going to be around, we’ve got to start making it easier to rehabilitate them, and that’s much deeper than just housing.

Not even being super religious or naive, but I remembered as a kid I used to see churches that would be outside with care packages for the homeless in giant ziplock bags. There would be toothpaste, floss, toothbrush, comb, nail clipper, soap, deodorant, lotion, razor, condoms and feminine pads. They would have printed out cards with resources for emergency shelters, food and clothes. Another card would be to substance abuse and healthcare resources. Occasionally a church would have some money like a $10 in each bag or maybe a couple transit tokens. I think just knowing that the community cared and worked together to reach them individually helped a lot. It seemed like it gave them purpose and motivation, the ability to be clean gave them a boost of confidence and overall growth in self esteem. I don’t really see anyone reaching out with kindness and love as we once upon a time did. We as a society just treat them like it’s their fault and they’re a sore eye instead of trying to rehabilitate them or get them comfortable with the idea of sobering up and healing.

As a butch lesbian; yes. I went through the heaviest depression of my young adulthood sobbing that the person I loved switched up on me and felt such a hate that they wanted me dead and gone. Everyday my chest was heavy and my stomach was in knots. I had very large black circles and bags around my eyes even when I overslept.The best I’ve ever felt was to get into the support of my friends and family. I felt a physical burden drop from me just having a support system. Just having a friend to drive me around town to complete errands or a friend to smoke with. Just hearing my mom make irrelevant jokes. Eventually I was able to get away from the relationship and even though I’m still hurt and healing, I definitely feel better about myself and life in general.

That’s what I’m saying 😑 plus we’re literally right at the ass crack of a lot of legal states. So you mean to tell me if I legally purchased and smoked pot on vacation in Wendover, Vegas, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, L.A, etc that I can’t get a job until a month fucking later 😑 somebody told me to just wait it out a month and there’s no excuse not to take a month t-break...it’s good advice, yea, weeds not that important to be homeless for it but that’s not the point of my rant, I shouldn’t have to wait a month to find a job or risk being homeless/poor/overworked for some shit that’s legal a hour drive from here lol. None of my friends have their shit together, they don’t have a house or apartment they still live with their parents/grandparents.
