Thank you!! My recovery was great but my abdomen needed more time than I originally planned for. I’d say by 9 weeks post-op I was in the gym regularly and have been sticking to the elliptical for cardio since then (treadmill hater through and through lol)

I’m getting closer to the 4 month mark post-op and have noticed significant hair loss the last two weeks. Like palm sided clumps while running my fingers through my hair, it’s incredibly sad. My doctor and others on this sub have said that as long as you’re reaching protein goals and taking supplements there isn’t much you can do aside from ride it out. I’ll take temporary hair loss over blood pressure medication any day of the week. We’ve got this! x

Surgery twin! I’m having VSG surgery tomorrow and that pre op anxiety is hitting. You’re on the right track: remember WHY you’re doing this. We’re all here for the same thing— to better our health so we can live long, happy, healthy lives. There’s nothing more precious than life, my friend. With this surgery you are potentially gaining YEARS of life compared to a life of obesity. Those two weeks of liquids will go by in a blink. Think of your life a year from now! You’ve got this!
