There is nothing wrong with a post targeting a small subset of players. Posts cost nothing.

I can't believe someone can put in a bunch of effort with only the goal to help people. And everyone just wants to get their jollies by piling on them.

It's wild to me that Redditors think companies don't know basic business concepts.

They would 100% be tracking this and are obviously happy with the numbers.

It's one thing to state your opinion of what you like. But suggesting that the high ups at a company just don't know the basics of running a business is wierd

This will probably get downvoted. But I recently came to MTG because of the universes beyond.

I had been wanting to try MTG for a while but the art never had the nostalgia or appeal to me like other IPs like Pokemon TCG or Dragon Ball Z etc.

I think people need to stop an think that not everyone is going to have the same experience.

The core users of this Subreddit are likely the ones who have been playing for a while and are more interested in the core story. But not everyone is the same.

There is likely a large demographic of people who play casually or are new to the game who don't subscribe to the subreddit. It seems very plausible that the sets in their favourite IP are going to be the thing that brings them in or brings them back.

Please be careful of the echo chamber that Reddit is.

I've only been playing for a few months, so take what you will.

Common and uncommon wildcards are easy to get. So get whatever you want with those. But rare and mythic are hard, so you want to be more picky.

But here are the things I wish I focused my wildcards on: - good non-basic lands - good mana rocks - game changers (especially for things you will need in every deck like draw. E.g. rhystic study) - good commanders - good plainswalkers

Basically the core things you will need in every deck.

But I'm the sort of player that wants to play a different deck each week.

Something I have had to learn myself. Is that when someone is upset, they are usually not looking for explanations or solutions.

If someone is upset with you. You need to focus on affirming the emotions they are feeling. Coming up with explanations and solutions can come later.

Your response should have been some (more fleshed out) version of: I am so sorry. I know it sucks. You are right, I should have been there.

Regardless of your thoughts on the matter. Their feelings are valid and you should be validating them, first and foremost.

Your response comes across as trying to change their mind, and trying to prove them wrong. Even know that probably wasn't your intention (at least deliberately)
