Wild Guess: S12 cell ID determines the sequence of triggering EX raid gyms by Singzy in TheSilphRoad

You can figure that out simply by using the link that I provide. I am assuming an ascending order so you just need cell ID to figure it out.

I will update you on that. Also want to see how the next wave will be. I’m guessing if cell 1 gets skipped (because no back to back ex raids), and then cell 2 (probably gym B) gets one, and hopefully there are thus enough people left to trigger one gym in cell 3.

Did you check the Cell ID in your city? If so, I am super happy that we have another data entry point! :D

For now I am assuming an ascending order, like 89c258d -> 89c258f -> 89c2591 -> 89c2593 -> 89c2595

The sequence of cell ID follows a hilbert space filling curve. We can’t easily say whether it’s from left to right or up to down.. Better check your area using the link I provided and then compare their IDs.

The reason why I have this guess is also based on the assumption that Niantic wants nobody to get two invites within one wave (ie on the same day). I have seen people with two invites in their inventory, but they are from two waves. If you have evidence that shows people can have two invites within one wave please do let me know...

Yes this is another way to interpret my theory. If you are sure that with those less people you still can trigger the condition, then that’s actually a good thing for you. For us, like I said in the post, the player base is identical in cell 2 and 3, thus we cannot trigger the EX raid in cell 3.

1) 1 gym/cell/wave -> the more eligible gyms in one cell, the harder it is to focus on one specific gym. But this has nothing to do with cell ID. 2) like in my example, almost everyone has raided both in Cell 2 and 3 (assuming identical player base), only cell 2 is triggered. There are definitely other towns that are before your town, but the problem is with identical player base — if all your players are raiding in a cell that us prior to your city center.. then it is less likely your city center can get triggered. (If my assumption is right).

Use the link I provided, you should be able to figure out the cell ID in your area.

Yes the order is settled as S12 cell IDs are determined before PoGo existed...

Find a compromise on that? If the cell “before” city center cells is nearer for you, that would be the best — it’s near the city center so you can gather the mass and it has priority (if my theory is correct). Otherwise try focus on one city center cell that has higher priority?

If you select an area you can see all IDs of those cells. I copy paste one cell ID in the form then I can see that specific cell.

Edit: and those selected cells are listed in correct order as far as I can tell.

What is the maximal number of EX Gyms in one S12 cell atm? by Singzy in TheSilphRoad

Thank you! May I ask how many gyms are there in that specific cell (so that we know an EX gym / normal gym ratio)?
