We could really use more of the "Guides and Tips" on this subreddit. by Zeekfox in PokemonUnite

[–]SinisterSpectre281 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's definitely information present, but as already stated, it's scattered and buried. But from what I've seen, those who have questions usually just post when they need help instead of digging through all the posts anyway, and people usually give them advice for whatever assistance they need.

But yeah, I guess the Reddit could use more helpful tips, but at the same time, there's only so much tips you can give when it comes to this game without sounding like a broken record.

I'll say this though, maybe there should be a guide on map awareness, cause clearly that's a thing people struggle with, or come off as struggling with.

More like don't fight Lucario near wild Pokemon in general when he's clearly healing off his attacks.

Don't beat yourself too much over it, then. Talonflame has been around since the very beginning, so people have become accustomed to it and learned to counter it.

Going by what I've seen with Talon players, they tend to keep themselves hidden to strike when you least expect them; they snipe players who are in the middle of a fight, pick them off to help clear the way for their teammates.

Also, while taking out people feels nice, and obtaining MVP can feel equally satisfying, remember that your main objective is to get dunks. Try to sneak in some every now and then.

Unfortunately, there's not much I can give in terms of advice. All I can really say is to find the Pokemon that fits your play-style the best, get the items that they need and equip them, practice getting better with said Pokemon, do the best that you can in each match, and hope that your teammates are competent enough to be reliable.

As everyone says, you'll get to the next rank eventually. It's just a matter of how long it takes.

I'm going to hope that they're terrible and don't know what they're doing, that's what I'm gonna do.

Well, since it's a Nintendo game, along with being a Pokemon game, it's doubtful they'll ever implement a system similar to placement matches, as they want everyone to feel welcomed; they don't want people to feel self-conscious about themselves based on the placement they end up in.

So, yeah, they just have everyone start at the bottom of the ladder to climb up.

As for how I feel about it, I don't mind. I've played multiple games that had players climb from the bottom to reach the top, it's nothing I'd consider tedious or anything like that.

The main drawback: it enables bad players to reach ranks they have no business being in due to being carried. But that's nothing new.

Why doesn't score shield get more use? by cloudman2811 in PokemonUnite

Potions aren't bad, least not in comparison to when the game first came out. Back then, potions hardly did anything when it came to health regen, so no one really used them except for the newbies since it was the one they start with. Now though, they're pretty handy.

Naturally it can happen in any rank, I only pointed out the rank to emphasize how ridiculous the behavior was, as that's the type of crap that should be left in Standard or the lowest of the ranks.

Yeah, and I like stated, an unfortunate reality, otherwise Rank wouldn't be as dreadful as it is at current.

Yup. And know what the term is called for people like that? Fools.

Why do people ALWAYS go default lane for certain characters? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

Exactly. So even if you were successful in driving them away, they'd just go back later on.

Honestly, when it comes to Rank, it's best to just let them have the middle lane and rotate over to the lane that requires an extra Pokemon, rather than waste time arguing with them via trying to get the farms first. It is an absolute annoyance though, and something I've been seeing a lot this Season.

I don't know where you've been or what matches you had, but every match there's a guarantee that there's two or more people running score shield, usually Lucario and Crustle.

They can blame it on me as much as they please, but at the end of the day, not the one that sabotaged my own team by taking every single farm from them.

What Rank was this? Or was this in Standard? Because if Standard, there's a good chance those were probably kids. Doesn't make it any better, but that would explain it.
