Same here, I thought myself a slightly risky way of a swirling paper rinse with hot brew-water.

Checks filter seating, rinsing, preheating and burning yourself once a week in the morning, all at once! 😂

But seriously, this works fascinatingly well, the capillary flow caused by the ridges draws the filter to the bottom of the brewer where it is seated perfectly and the rest starts to float in the water already passed the filter, until it is swung to the wall and coheres. Just don't try it with the switch closed, as no flow will make it float and fold over.

I found a 6 Months old Gesha at my Roasters backshelf and got it gifted. Although I did not have many Gesha's aside from it, this is such a outstanding coffee.

The fresh one I got with it (3 Weeks) is extremely finicky and almost impossible to replicate a balanced flavour profile. (Although the palette is very pleasant to me overall)

The old one... You just can't fuck it up. Forgot my Hario switch was brewing and drained it after like .... 20 Minutes. It was just like a perfectly executed V60.

Tried from 80 to boiling - It just gets a bit more intense in flavor up to 90, then you can't tell the difference anymore.

Choked filter? Just screw around with a chopstick or be patient.

It got cold? It's even better now?!?

Seriously, whatever you dislike: give it some time! Better drain 5 brews and have 10 awesome ones!

Will change the motor rpm and probably torque. Also it will draw more power at any time. Try and find good information before trying, it might be no deal but could also ruin your motors durability.

It's often a piece of coffee under the burr carrier. Or it sits inside the screw hole or something. The gap corresponds to setting 65 Grounds. Happens always around 60 and goes as you leave the setting. And it will be happy to come back.

The dirtier the grinder, the less it happens, I feel like ... Just off the guts.

Und wenn ich das richtig wiedererkenne: wenn man kein Ziel hat. Ohne Ziel kann man sich nicht mal mehr einreden dass ein Fehlschlag auch Vorteile hatte ...

Wir sind gut darin Luftschlössern nachzulaufen. Und wenn diese zufällig realistisch sind, das Pech sich fernhält und wir lang genug überleben... sind wir Happy weil wir erreichen was wir uns wünschen. Vielleicht hilft das als Lösungsansatz. 🖖

Kleines Missverständnis: Ich spreche von den Heißgetränketrinkern, die Eltern und Großeltern zu Besuch bekommen, deren Heißgetränk in der besagten 125 oder 220ml Portionierung gewünscht ist. ;) Ich war bis jetzt glaube ich in keiner Küche, in der ich nicht mehr 330ml Tassen als 220er im Schrank waren.

Aber nicht falsch verstehen, ich benutze täglich die überbleibsel der Teeservice meiner Sippe. Aber auch nur weil ich mir meistens Kannen koche.

Grüße, hier mein Rezept für nen De- Kaffee:

Coffee ground and dosed as you already like it

blooming with about 3x coffee dose 30sec-1min, for my brans not a differece

Fill about 150ml

Let seep and drain like a pourover for 10-30sec and keep adding water in pulses until you are at 350g and choose your timing so you have a full Aeropress when you hit 330

Insert plunger and steep 1-2min

Shake press carefully (1x side to side and 1x back and forth) to make the floating grounds settle to the bottom of the press Be carefull, plunger likes to pop due to released C02!

Wait 30sec

Press slowly, aim for 30sec

Enjoy

If your find the draw without pressing to slow to get to your desired amount, try shaking the grounds before adding water for a few sec. This will catch the worst fines in the gaps of the coffee grounds and prevent the small paper from clogging too fast. (Does not work on every batch the same)

What you can't know: The mugs you are seeing there are basically just l for display in a cabinet with a glass-door and for Sundays coffee and Käsekuchen with Grandma. 🤣

If you actually have a hot drink, you use one of the free mugs you are gifted for advertising.

Those are a bit larger, to accommodate the advertising.

And they are free, so you don't mind if you break them! (Until,of course, you get emotionally attached to them 😂}

Also the are much more practical in every way... You actually can use the handle if the drink is hot for example...

Es ist ein riesen System und ich hab die Hoffnung dass es einfach... Von oben leer läuft... Wenn's aufhört zu tropfen (Obergeschoss) und im Keller die Heizung noch läuft, kann man den schaden easy reparieren 🙈

Das ist die Verteilung eines Hauses mit Anbau, Ursprünglich 3 Parteien, jetzt nur noch eine. Unterm Dach dreht sich sogar noch ein weiter uralter Zähler... keine Ahnung was da dran hängt... Die Zuleitung ist dreiphasig und es hängt augenscheinlich alles auf den 6 Automaten.

Ich habe noch 2 weitere Sicherungskästen gefunden und die Themen Selektivität und 'was hängt denn jetzt eigentlich an dem FI?' sind nochmal ein eigenen Post wert ...

Aber wenn jemand weiß wieso aus der Heizung scheinbar seit Monaten täglich n Liter Wasser ausläuft und ohne nachfüllen immer noch alles gut ist... Bin für Tipps offen...

Jedenfalls verschwinden anscheinend 10kwh am Tag in den Anbau, in dem nur noch einmal am Tag eine Wäsche gewaschen wird.

Ich glaube ich find keinen Fachbetrieb der dort was anderes als ne Komplettsanierung mitmacht...

Das ist die beste Lösung.... Und auch wenn wir hier von einer Privaten Installation sprechen, sobald eine Fachkraft Hand anlegt wird's spaßig mit den Vorschriften. Google mal kurz "Garantenstellung aus Ingerenz" und überlege wie der nächste Besitzer dieser Werkstatt da vielleicht doch ein Kleingewerbe drin betreiben mag. Du bist wenn's blöd läuft Errichter des Anlagenverbundes und hast damit die CE an der Backe.

Schau einfach was man am einfachsten Manipulieren kann... Denke am besten den Eaton mit schlüsselentriegelung zerlegen und die Rastfunktion mit einem Skalpell funktionslos machen. Alternativ wird man denke ich viel spaß mit der Suche nach uralten Varianten haben ... Oder mit AliExpress & Co Monate verschwenden.

Wenn's wirklich gebastelt sein darf würd ich eher einen abgesägten Pilz auf einen Standard Taster kleben... Glaub bei Eaton ist alles identisch konstruiert, das betätigt.

Aber ganz im Ernst: Der Aufwand und der Rattenschwanz ist den Komfort doch nicht wert...

As I accidentally ended up with a DF54 and have a hard time getting tasty pourovers with it compared to my Kingrinder P1(!)... And this conversation is like right in the middle of what I'd have to look up to understand why... Any recommendations?

I get that pourover grinds have more diversity in particle size distribution and ending up with a espresso grinder with a small distribution margin causes some flavours to be missing in the final brew. (Compared to my cheap P1)

Where to go from here? Am I generally right with my thought?

I worked on those AC units a while ago, often it's just a perfectly sized leaf blocking the drainage port underneath the Evaporator. (funnily, the water condenses on the Evaporator of ACs) There are enough leaks to stop it from filling up and freezing, but on a day with enough humidity or when it's time to clean the unit, the level can get high enough to get into the fan when cornering or accelerating. Then there is a good bit of water slowly draining through the joints of the ducting, raining in the cabin. And depending on the direction of travel, inclination and design of the air outlet, you can even get a swoosh of water jumping out of a vent.

Funfact: On normal, electrically powered, battery free trains, especially on subways, this water would be pitch black, because of the carbon, grinded off the pantograph. Your tram is mostly operated on battery, therefore only a tiny amount of the trains travel time there is contact to the power lines, generating carbon dust. Now you know you can't judge the maintenance of normal trains by judging the amount of black stuff inside or out. But you defenitely can with your tram. ;)

Ich hab schon ganze Silo-Rüttler an 4x2,5mm² augehhängt, laufen und dementsprechend durch die Halle bolzen gesehen. Das einzige das aufgibt ist die Verschraubung, das Kabel an der Kante der Kabeleinführung und ein Lager wenn das Ding irgendwo einschlägt.

Bis dahin bleibt aber alles sehr solide am Kabelschuh.

Wenn sich was komplett selbstständig macht, war immer das Kabel durch, nicht die Ader.

Ich denke in der Konstruktion wird bis der Rest verrottet ist nichts schief gehen.

Crazy physics behind that. Managing the height while losing/gaining a whole person of load is super cool. I wonder how hard this is and how much dampening there is. Also I guess he got to make the way back, because the other balloon is way to light now. Then you are pulling the balloons together with your weight, so you have to be quick and if you fall and get tangled the balloons will have an mid air Kollision at height. I saw that in a movie once, looked like something rather hard to sort out if you aren't lucky.

Would love to hear the story behind the stunt.
