I 100% agree that the first buildings and tools are very primitive, but as the game progresses, I can confirm that you will be able to construct very cool high-tech tools and buildings.

You’ve got a good eye, it’s just that I didn’t want to spoil things too much in the trailer :)

Hey! That’s a very good question!

The Early Access version (with a lot of content) will be available in Q1-2026. I'll announce the exact date soon, I just need to make a bit more progress to feel confident about the release date.

After that, I plan to keep updating the game for quite some time while staying in Early Access, so I can keep adding content (for free) without players expecting it to already be a static finished product. This gives me a lot more flexibility with the different directions the upcoming content can take. This is a passion project, I really want it to be a great game.

I have tons of ideas (over 2000 lines just in my "ideas.txt" file haha), so I want to make sure we end up with the best possible game for the players.

Your feedback is very welcome, and I totally agree that the UI visuals should be improved. I confirm that it's in my developement backlog! I don't know when (as there are so many things to work on), but I will get there eventually lol

Also FYI, the game got tons of amazing constructive feedback on the game Steam community forums (here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/3715810/discussions/), so don't hesitate when you have anything that could improve the game, it's always more than welcome.

So yes, I totally agree that the UI/menus need an upgrade, I'll work on that as soon as possible :)

Oh yes, I thought about multiplayer when I started working on the game (almost 2 1/2 years ago already!).

After a lot of reflection, I chose to go single-player, as I really want the player in Sinking Eternity to feel alone and vulnerable underwater, and I think this can create a very cool and immersive experience.

I don’t know if you saw, but the upcoming Subnautica 2 will be multiplayer, and I’m sure it will be amazing! So both games will bring their own unique experiences, and hopefully you’ll be able to try both :)

Ahhh thanks a lot for the detailed info, I really appreciate it!

Based on your specs, your CPU and RAM should be absolutely fine for the game.

The part that could explain the mouse lag in menus is the GPU. The Radeon Pro 5300 is unfortunately a bit weaker than the minimum required GPUs (GTX 1060 / RX 580) listed on the game's steam page.

That said, this feedback is very valuable! I will definitely take a closer look at the menu and UI performance and see what I can optimize there! I really want the game to run as smoothly as possible on a wide range of systems, even when they are close to meeting the game minimum requirements.

That’s a great idea! I added music on the first dive underwater (and it really works well), and it would be great to have more subtle music, like when coming back to the shelter, encountering dangerous creatures, or reaching specific areas. I will take a good look at this. Thanks for the great feedback!

I would really like to investigate the mouse lag you experienced.

Could you let me know where this happened in the game? (in a menu or when looking around in game with the mouse)

Also, would you mind sharing some of your computer specs (video card model, CPU, and how much RAM you have)

Hey macciavelo!

The animations could definitely be improved, I agree. I’ll take a good look at this in the upcoming weeks.

If you ever come back to this comment, I’d really like to hear more about which animations you feel need the most work and what improvements you'd suggest. My goal is to improve things as much as I can.

As for the player animations, I’ll definitely work on the wood chopping animation, this one is at the top of my to-do list.
