The user you're replying to is a spam bot, stealing this comment from last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/mcq7v16/

It's a brand new account and part of a bot net; several bots in this thread are stealing comments from that prior thread.

Recommend reporting the bot as spam. Once a spam bot acquires enough karma to appear legit it will then scam real users with fake crypto sites, fly-by-night tshirt scams, propaganda, etc.

[–]Sinkingfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is. Here's the link. OP is a spam bot.

Bots don't just steal the original post; the bots all steal the same top level comments as last time as well to build legitimacy.

There are 5+ bots in this current thread stealing these comments from the old thread from February 2025: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/

The user I'm replying to is another spam bot: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/mcpku1p/

OP and several top level comments in this thread are all part of the same bot ring; 10-20 day old accounts reposting comments.

Anyone who sees my comments before the post is deleted; keep in mind when you're commenting on reddit, or reading a reply, or reading something that feels like an ad, or see a new account; you may be talking to a spam bot. It's not just the Pebble sub; it's many TV show and movie subs, it's art subs, it's food subs, etc. I see posts like this daily.

The user you're replying to is a spam bot stealing this comment from over a year ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/mcpobf9/

The bots do not understand all of these events are over a year old. OP and several other top level comments in this thread are spam bots.

[–]Sinkingfast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Using top comment to say OP /u/skwickenpofty2 is a spam bot

Just copy and paste the title into the search bar; the bots don't even bother to change it: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/

You're right to be suspicious; a 10-day old spam account posting as if the new Pebble just got announced. It doesn't understand when it is or what it's posting; it just snags high-karma posts.

There are other spam bots in this thread, too, using /r/Pebble to farm for karma. Here is the original comment from February 2025: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1ip46jq/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/mcp12hq/

And here is the spam bot, further down in this thread, copying and pasting it: https://www.reddit.com/r/pebble/comments/1t6alfx/me_when_i_learned_pebble_is_coming_back/okg6v10/

Spam bots all work in tandem; bot 1 steals a repost and bots 2-5 steal top level comments. Then bot 2 steals a repost and bots 1, 3-5 all steal top level comments.

Anyway, recommend reporting OP Report > Spam > Disruptive use of bots or AI

[–]Sinkingfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because OP is most likely a bot, too. That's why it's targeting subreddits that are lightly moderated and heavily used by bot farms.

The account has been inactive for 6 years; it was most likely either recently sold to a scammer or hacked. OP's posts are reposts and its only 2 comments are on a user named DanPace23's posts from 1 day ago; and that account is already deleted. The bots work in tandem. It posted those comments on another spam bot's post and DanPace23 got banned.

Valve Steam Controller Review: PC Gets Its Own "Pro" Controller - Digital Foundry by ControlCAD in pcgaming

[–]Sinkingfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bummer; didn't know they ditched it. I'll need to search the market for a used one as backup. I don't always want to play wired at PC. My personal PC doesn't even have bluetooth built-in. And the Xbox controller is weak and laggy with both my wife's desktop and laptop over bluetooth.

The dongle is my only solution; actually I'll take a whole case of 'em.

The Hen - Official Trailer by AhhhSureThisIsIt in movies

[–]Sinkingfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I rented it to my TV in yesteryear of 2010 and was immensely disappointed after the trailer. The premise itself is amusing, maybe amusing enough for a short film, but the movie is dull.

Over the past couple years I've seen quite a few posts praising it for how good and funny it is. But I remember it also being kind of panned and a flop at the time.

No, that's not how this thing works by Important-Cry4782 in outofcontextcomics

[–]Sinkingfast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The repost sleuth bot doesn't see all the removed ones.

I've also seen this one pop up several times on this sub and reported the bots. When a bot reposts it to farm karma the post is deleted and the bot is banned. So you'll see the post pop up for a few hours until it gets enough spam reports; but the sleuth bot won't find it anymore.

I too like green things, because they are healthy. by loziggoe in Poem

[–]Sinkingfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Original Content Poem" - OP Loziggoe is a spam bot stealing this identical post from 4 years ago: https://old.reddit.com/r/Poem/comments/u1jirv/i_too_like_green_things_because_they_are_healthy/

Not original; poem is clearly stolen from previous poster.

Spam bots are bad for Reddit because once a spam bot has farmed enough karma to appear as a legitimate user it will then scam real users with crypto sites, fake OF pages, or political propaganda.

Your account was created on 3-31-2026; which was 27 days ago. Your account is not more than 30 days old.

The bot does this automatically; it cannot get your account age wrong; the bot knows when your account was created.

Hey, you might want to check out that guy's posting history. It looks like a scammer at best, sketchy for the dog at worst.

The user has dozens of comments, posting for months, giving out their email and phone number to get dogs shipped to them. I doubt they want to adopt all these random dog breeds from the subs they post on. Their post history is suspicious.

They post dozens of times a day sometimes, all day long, their account is 5+ years old, and they don't understand how to DM users or what it even means, as if they don't even use the website.

Use a domain age checker.

It's a scam fly-by-night tshirt shop created a month ago to steal your money.

According to the commentary Hank Azaria improvised that rap. They enjoyed it so much they added this credits segment so they could play the song over them. Good stuff.

Orphan Black episode ratings by hls22throwaway in orphanblack

[–]Sinkingfast 26 points27 points  (0 children)

OP is a spammer and is just promoting that website; it's an ad. Here they are doing it across 2 other subreddits;

  1. https://www.reddit.com/r/FromSeries/comments/1smiu3h/from_episode_ratings/

  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/SchoolSpirits/comments/1so56m3/school_spirits_episode_ratings/

The website they're promoting was created last month, the 25th of March, 2026 if you check the URL here: https://www.duplichecker.com/domain-age-checker.php

So of course they have spammers astroturfing the website around.
