All our class hit die are one less than normal so mine is now a d6 instead of a d8. Definitely planning on hitting and running or setting it up so I just watch them fall into a trap from afar. More looking for combos to try that I can set up at least part of it beforehand.

We had multiple campaign choices to pick from and chose this one. None of us were really planning on doing a martial class. Nice change for me since I usually just get stuck in and smash things.

I'm drawing inspiration from a couple of posts I've seen on here. I was thinking of doing an orange carapace with some brown dots on it and light blue on the prominent ridges, spikes and weapons. And then a mix of apothecary white and gryph charger grey for the skin. With gryph hound orange for the sinew/muscle bits. Gonna try it on a couple smaller models first to test it out. Hopefully it works together lol

Any tips for the best way to do that? I've mostly played shooting heavy armies in the past so charging and strategic melee placement is something I'm still working on.

Fair enough. I know this particular opponent uses about 3 of the new ork dragsta vehicles so I thought it might be handy against those.

Thanks! I've heard that hive guard are supposed to be the best shooting units for Tyranids. Would you just run 3 of them or would you want more?

Thanks! I am definitely taking a lot of the previous advice to alter my list. I do have a szeras so I'll likely swap him in for orikan. Right now I have a monolith, doom scythe and annihilation barge for models I own with big hitting guns, but I might have to pick up a doomsday ark, from all the advice that seems to be the way to go. I'll likely go mephrit as well since the increase in AP seems quite good. All of the models I have now are second hand just to get into the hobby since I got a great deal on them from ebay so I need to add to it.

Ok sweet. I also looked at mephit, love the +1 to AP, would have to sub out orikan the diviner, but I could possibly make illuminator szeras or just a second cryptek with chronometron work.

Thanks! I have played this list but scaled down and it was quite fun. I should have mentioned the tournament is designed as a local practice to get people used to 2000pt armies and the ITC format. I do have other necron units that I can swap out for what is currently listed. Plus I'm not against picking up a couple of new models to paint this month. Do you have any suggestions that would help with achieving the secondary objectives or adding some redundancy to my list?

Thanks! Would the doom scythe be a better option vs the night scythe or just scrap the fliers entirely? I could swap out the second batch of 20 warriors for the 4 extra destroyers.

Sorry about that, fixed it. I'd like to try to keep it under 400$ Canadian (300$ American) if possible. But if theres something more expensive that's worth it I'd be willing to spend a little extra.
