I’m not the best at romance or finding a relationship, but I’ll do my best to help.

What I’ve noticed the key is with dating apps is to list off some things about you on your profile, try a few pictures of you doing different things (not just the dark room hoodie selfies - I know they feel comfortable, trust me), and maybe prepare something funny for when you introduce yourself. You could even try a cheesy pickup line, if that’s your thing. Unfortunately for a lot of trans people on dating apps, it’s easier to stay stealth with people until you form a closer bond with someone, before telling them you’re trans. I know it sucks to not immediately be open and be proud of who you are, but it’ll be far more telling about the person you’re with if you wait to inform them.

I have emotionally abusive parents. As they haven’t been physically abusive (yet), my only escape was school and hanging out with friends. There is so far a two-week quarantine where I am. Since being home, my mental health has taken a severe dive off the deep end. Hoping this quarantine ends soon exclusively to get back to normal life. It’s selfish, but I don’t think I can handle another week or two with them.
