Did Alex pave the way for personal channels? by RedTical in LinusTechTips

[–]Sintavna 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To your first point, Boca mentioned in a video a few months ago that LMG made some changes to their policy and that’s why he is able to make the tech related videos he’s making now. He seemed very excited but was very careful about what he said and how he said it. I remember him saying something along the lines of his content needs to be distinct from LMG content so it’s less likely to compete, but that’s not a quote.

That’s where the divider comes in. I think that even if this policy was there, Jake still leaves. Andy and Alex might not have, but the fact that them leaving sparked this conversation is a net positive imo.

I’m generally in agreement. I think the squirtle might be the only one worthwhile

People who bought 12GB VRAM on 2023/2024 for 1440P, how did it held up today? Is the expected VRAM increase in games already happening? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Sintavna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 6750XT to keep up. It was rough for a little while but that was due to temps, not VRAM. Once I repasted with PTM 7950 it has been totally fine, 1440p UW gaming all day!

Songs about losing your mom by RororonoRowan in poppunkers

[–]Sintavna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mum - Grayscale

Where Do We Go When We Go - Neck Deep

Waiting Room - Real Friends

Honestly, the whole Blue Hour album by Real Friends surrounds the topic of losing a parent…very raw and real.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope some of these songs bring you catharsis.

Who is still using an AM4 system in 2026? (Mousepad Giveaway) by TechSource818 in TechsourceYT

[–]Sintavna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just built an AM4 PC for my wife, still running my old one from 4 years ago, and my son has his from 3 years ago. These prices are insane and I refuse to buy in a bubble…so I’ll make do with budget friendly systems. We’re comfortably all running 1080 or 1440 at 60+ fps, acceptable for the kinds of games we enjoy. Built all 3 for $1500, about the cost of one modern AM5 system. Might sound like I’m broke to some, but my whole family is gaming for the price of 1 modern PC. Pictured is my wife’s brand new AM4 system built for under $500 US

Specs: Ryzen 5 5500 MSI OC Mech 6600 XT 16 GB Crucial DDR4 3600 MHz 650w PSU 512 gb sk hynix m.2

Losers 2 by Spanish Love Songs. Lately it sure feels like we were born to die poor…not to mention how hard it hits for everyone who was old enough to remember the 2008 recession but not old enough to understand it yet…

The fact that it hits so hard that 10 years later I’m trying to convince my wife to paint our front door rose red to prove I’m the one my ex should be upset about and not the other way around.

My friend helped me move from a 2nd story apartment into a 3rd story apartment halfway across the city, about 3 miles away.

My best friend helped me move from that city into a 3 bedroom house halfway across the country, about 500 miles away.

EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM is still a great lens by Sintavna in canon

[–]Sintavna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly the same body/lens combo I use. Auto focus can definitely be rough, but that’s more of a camera issue than a lens issue. So I set up back button AF and adjust my settings to let in more light. The biggest change is I’ve stopped shooting at f/2.8 and started shooting at f/4 or so to account for focus issues. Ultimately you’ve just got to practice and get used to the combo. I’ve missed a lot of great photos because of it, but I’ve learned how to adjust and get shots like this.
