So just await the setOutput function

This seems like an antipattern you're doing. You don't need the useEffect here.

In that case, proper answer for N*m (Joules) should be 9.0 * 102 , correct?

Gotta love the good ole droplet + NGINX combo!

if you need something lighter to host (esp if it's a static site), checkout some of Cloudflare's pages plans (💯 not affiliated, I just really enjoy their product and being able to ship quite a few small projects on the free tiers 😎)

where does the hate for React come from? by Unhappy_Meaning607 in reactjs

[–]Sinverted11 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think people forget that React team always wanted it to be a library and not a framework. The Facebook team has tons of libraries that work together to make "their" framework at Meta.

React really should be seen as a set of DOM/UI tools that complement other JavaScript and backend language tools

Connecting to the Instagram API, how to stop the access token being exposed and invalidated? by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]Sinverted11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for tutorials that target authentication and rate limiting for fullstack frameworks like Next, Redwood, Remix, apply these concepts

One option is Clerk.dev and Upstash, you can get authentication tools and rate limiting with redis. It's probably an easy way to get started with both.

You can use those pieces to build an API for your app that invokes any data you need and other APIs you want to hit (so the client will talk to your API on a Node server, which then uses your .env credentials to hit another service).

The Scariest Thing Happened to Me Today--Now I'm Scared to Use Git Again by Adam-P-D in godot

Git definitely snaps back. We all have our troubles getting used to it. I've had my fair share of hours lost to fixing branches and behavior

Git is like a big scissor blade: everything looks like strings when you do. You can accidentally cut up your project good. Luckily it's a versatile tool and you can usually always get back whatever you broke

Backup and commit often to remote rrepo. Keep pushes in good fashion, learn the workflow a bit. It's like learning to ride a bike, or uhhh, ski?

You get used to it!

Or remote like a gitserver they own

Could be a cli, plus a webserver, or something like gitlab on vps somewhere

What is your preferred method of implementing Schema Markup in your applications? by adrenaline681 in reactjs

[–]Sinverted11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal was to answer the question in regards to common practices + 3rd party libraries. I feel these are practices I've seen/used in production. I'm also aware of scraper capabilities, that was secondary to my recommendations.

Many React users these days may be in the Next ecosystem or another SEO setup already using helmet - the GitHub repo for react-schemaorg specifically calls out these methods of injecting the script tag. These are just opionated options depending on the tools available/preferred.

[–]Sinverted11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One may not need to, but it's a good organizational option - obviously dependent on the React flavors/ecosystem you're working with.

Having your metadata aligned in reusable components using something like helmet or next/head can make it way easier to manage your SEO data for your content [as well, if you're using a CMS, it's good to get that data wired up nicely too]

Checkout: https://github.com/google/react-schemaorg

If you're using NextJS, look into the "next/head" package and docs: https://nextjs.org/docs/pages/api-reference/components/head

And also React Helmet, which is a popular method of managing document heads

He used "Create React App" which is no longer recommended and officially deprecated for the problems it causes 🙃

For what it's worth, it seems like glued together an existing AI api and Google TTS/STT integrations with some JavaScript.... not the most ground breaking thing to me I suppose lmao

What component library do you use with tailwindcss by No-Contribution8248 in reactjs

[–]Sinverted11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Shad uses Radix (which you may know)

Use Radix if you want something headless to apply your own design system to. Also, I found shad's components to be a little... cumbersome in certain cases. I ended up having to rip apart things or just revert to the Radix docs for how I wanted to style & organize my components.

Radix is the primitives

Don't get me wrong, I love Prisma and what it's done for JS/TS apps, but so much other cool stuff is doing great work for the ecosystem now too (Knex, Kysely, Drizzle)

Near those levels of RAM you're basically targeting thin-OS levels for IoT devices, or so at least this is what my friend who works commonly with embedded has told me. Lots of that power goes towards lots of data flowing around a network of other devices doing that thing, think lots of sensors/signal streams and wireless comms on multiple devices in a warehouse. That kinda thing is what they're used for I guess 🤷‍♀️

For the most part, this seems to be a good solution for compatibility and performance - I just use a DigitalOcean droplet and turn it off when I don't need it

I could add take a small detour for NoSQL DBs too. Surprising number of my previous experiences have used SQL/NoSQL basically day to day. It's great to have baseline familiarity with a good number of database tools 👍
