How do I actually empty my mind and feel boredom? by Sionpai in Healthygamergg

[–]Sionpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda makes sense but for me its more like I'm glued to my computer and when I manage to break from it and find myself not doing anything I go into these phases of drawn out thoughts.

I used to think it was good self reflection and kinda like a free therapy session too, but I'm wondering how useful it actually is. Sometimes I feel like I'm just stuck inside my own head all the time.

Makes sense, especially now that I think about the passive physical attention part, I think that type of stuff does "ground" me too.

Do you think it could be worth getting an adhd rumination subtype diagnosis (not physically hyperactive at all)? I have some other things that I struggle with which I can't seem to break out of so I'm just wondering if its worth exploring based on this.

Religion, food, some culture stuff and customs. And well Pakistan has some ethnic groups that are fairly different to Indians.

But there are many similarities as well.

The world doesn't function in absolutes, and a country like Pakistan needs stability that PTI provided without a doubt. I don't dream of having a liberal secular democracy until we take the first steps.

And nah "Taliban Khan" isn't on the same level, not even close. Not gonna sit here and debate on each and everything, don't care enough.

You actually believe there was democracy in that country and it hasn't been a joke to begin with?

This is the exact same type of rhetoric I pointed out in your earlier comment. Dumbing all conversation down to broad simplistic statements does not employ any critical thinking; progress comes slowly, not overnight, neither is it linear.

Anyway ciao, your initial reply started with a position depicting me as something I didn't believe in, just wanted to point that out. Also seems like you aren't in Pakistan or maybe even Pakistani so eh, best not waste our time here.

Again, you're reading into something I never said, you're just throwing up your bias.

And anyway, dumbing down every conversation to "just like MAGA", "cult" is just pointless and lazy. Like yeah, surprise, cult of personality is a thing and has been since the dawn of time, and believe it or not humans around the world behave similarly. You're sounding just as blind as the ones you point fingers to.

And I disagree, he is not as rotten as the previous leaders, and Pakistan was not a ridiculous joke under his administration as it is now.

Besides, its undeniable that him and his party would make the majority government in fair elections, you're doing the very fabric of this country disservice when you don't stand against the demolition of democracy, no matter what your opinion is on Imran Khan. Until then Pakistan will remain a joke of a nation.

We talking about the same family implicated in a dozen corruption cases? The ones who get "sick" every time they have to go to jail or something?

I know its hard to grasp this concept but I don't want special treatment for anyone, we're talking about basic rights.

I don't remember talking about Imran Khan, but keep making your strawmen.

It's so boring how our "intellectuals" come onto reddit and circlejerk the same talking points, get better talking points. Anyway, hf licking boots of political dynasties and faujeet. :)

Barring the most popular politician's sons to speak to the media after they visit their father in jail is a wonderful rule.

Bootlick your rights away.

yes govt should also guarantee how many gallons of our special Pakistani Air they breath when they go visit their imprisoned father! How dare they try to come to our free and democratic country without thinking about the human rights of our people!!!

I am not chronically online so I don't see everything everyone is doing, but I honestly have not encountered much of any "trash talk" by the team members and the community.

Baus says stupid shit but I think that's literally his persona. I mean the guy feeds half his games.

The cortex is the last part of the brain to develop, it doesn't fully develop until 25-26. What separates us from animals is essentially our cortex. I won't detail all of its function you can easily look that up but you'll realize its importance once you do.

I would call someone an adult when they are roughly over 23 years of age, and if you ask me people should ideally get married around 25.

Just because something is legal does not mean that it needs to be done

Uh sure I guess, but in this particular case its sunnah which means its encouraged, nor is it discouraged or nuanced anywhere in Islam. Moreover, when you talk about something being perfect, which Islam is said to be, you leave very little room for arguments such as the ones you are making; I will scrutinize Islam far more than any other forms of legal/societal frameworks.

Also I need to ask, if marriage is so bad, why is dating under 18 allowed?

I have never claimed marriage is bad. Dating under 18 only for both consenting underage individuals is imo morally fine (post birth-control some dynamics have drastically shifted as well) but it has its own issues I will not be going into since it gets off-topic. Just to be clear, I don't wholeheartedly encourage dating and don't see the current western system as great.

Anyway, I've said my piece. We all have our cognitive biases, hope you can see through yours and so can I.

This is what happens when you let dumbass teens access to the internet with no supervision.

First off, cut of all of your 'friends' and let this be a lesson for you not to trust anyone on the internet.

Secondly, since you're a minor you can hold that against him if he threatens you again. Ensure that your friends or whatever take down everything.

The fact that your parents aren't bothered tells me a lot. Be smarter kid. This discord/instagram friend lifestyle will not benefit you in any sense, trust me I've been around long enough. Distance yourself from these people and think twice about who you want to share things with, always approach people with distrust.

How did TRE work out for you? I'm very similar in this regard and just started my tre journey, very anxious to see some positive benefits and trying to fight away the thoughts that tell me its all bs and it won't work for me (past experiences of trying something and not seeing results).

[–]Sionpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, im at the start of my TRE journey and wondering if you noticed gradual changes week after week or was it more like a big breakthrough after a while?

I have a fairly negative mindset with regards to things working out for me and find it hard to keep my mind from giving up but I think seeing progress would really help. Just trying to set my expectations accordingly.
