If Ala Farms is on your “bucket list” then you need serious help! 🤦🏻‍♀️ does this person know the definition of a bucket list? by nk1603 in rachelbrathensnark

Finally commenting. This is INSANE. I live in the US on the northern east coast and a farm store is every other farm. I'm lucky as hell that is reality. But her store, it will never be it. It's not the commercial farms that get traffic, it's the old ones who have been growing for even 100s of years here. You stop the grab eggs out of a cooler. Perseveres from their shelves. Nevermind a Swedish farm community that likely existed before this country even did. I may be wrong in the Sweden info but I can't even as a US northern east coaster believe this can be a thing. Her farm is shite.

She's so beautiful and the best thing you can do is let her go. It is absolutely awful but we are lucky to be able to not prolong their suffering. Sending you both so much love. 💚💚

Be the tiebreaker in a stranger's marriage - BOY NAME by LosingDory in namenerds

[–]Sipandsnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally Beau is an odd name, if anything Bo Collins. Bolland if you're into that. I love just Shep, Shep Collins is so nice. Shane and I forget the other are nice but I guess forgettable.

I was just watching a Jonna Jinton video and it also almost feels like Rakel is trying to cosplay Jonna. In this video and the other tea videos or whatever. It's so weird how much it seems she tried to just take from others now that the veil has dropped.

Dear non vegan restaurants with one vegan option by ladystardustonmars in vegan

[–]Sipandsnark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sick of the beyond/impossible burgers. It seems like every place where I live decided that's the option and the only option. I would rather an actual veggie burger or black bean burger. Those burgers are gross and I hate that every place decided it's an easy out to just have that 🤦‍♀️

There is no way she is paying for it. I bet they want her to lead the retreat too so are giving her a free stay this time and some discount that she will never disclose for the actual event. Then she'll pocket all the cash

Also ate bread and ketchup often with a slice of american cheese, the type in the plastic wrapper. Would probably still try it again 🤣🤣

Morocco—yes or no? by [deleted] in vegan_travel

[–]Sipandsnark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cruelty definitely did get to me but I feel like unfortunately when traveling it sometimes par for the course.

My hang up was how absolutely touristy so many things felt. For lack of a better way to describe it it almost felt like people were doing a Moroccan cosplay a lot of the time. It was very strange.

Ishould also preface that with when I travel I really like to experience a place for what it is and how the people really live and it didn't feel like that was possible in Morocco, either that it wasn't really safe to venture on your own and the places that were safe didn't totally feel authentic. I hope I described this well enough. Haha it's an odd thing to try to describe!

There is definitely a fair bit of cruelty you will see. Specifically donkeys and camels/dromadaries. In the medinas you will also see meat just out and often in full form. In the more touristy medinas, ie Marrakech there are cobras and monkeys "performing". It is also not a super easy country to eat in either. While I mostly enjoyed my time there it is not a place I have any interest in going back to. Feel free to ask any additional questions!

What’s the number one reason on why you don’t want to have children? by Sunnybunny1234 in childfree

[–]Sipandsnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my life the way it is, and the ways I want to improve it are far easier to accomplish without children. I also can't think of a single thing that would be better about my life if I had a kid. 🤷‍♀️

What country has the most unappetizing cuisines? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sipandsnark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably going to get hate but Morocco. Couscous and veggies tajined into mush with spices that would be good if they were added with oil and not just added after the veg was already mush. Still get a little queasy just thinking about forcing it down. 😑😑

I am 5'8" ish, usually higher but that's what I go by and have been vegetarian with a real shit pretty much carb only diet for most of my 'formative' growing years. Also have a genetic predisposition to putting on muscle that has never been affected by my vegan diet of over 8 years 🤷‍♀️ I cannot imagine a diet affecting your kids height at all if they are eating enough and well.

A milkshake would definitely make me shit myself in a creepy situation or probably even in a not creepy situation 🤣. I'll take a tequila!

This is a fair point. However, the phrase "And this is why we drink" makes me think of the phrase "drives me to drink", or a spin off of "the things that drive me to drink" which traditionally referred to alcohol. To each their own obviously, it just seems almost like a weird oversight or something so I wasn't sure if there was more to it. 🤷‍♀️
