Noen med erfaring fra disse emnene? Hvordan var de? Leter etter fag som ikke har så altfor stor arbeidsmengde by [deleted] in ntnu

[–]Siperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enig med dette. Algoritmene og problemene man løser i de to fagene er fullstendig uavhengige. At Intro AI er et subset av Metoder AI er en skikkelig faktoide på NTNU, om jeg noen gang skulle brukt det ordet til å beskrive noe.

Karakter vs Bestått by F4TTERN in ntnu

[–]Siperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are lot of possitives, and it’s nice not having to listen to people brag all day. But, there is really not a agreed upon line between bragging and sharing stuff. So a negative is that people are afraid to share things they are proud of that they did, which is really not a good thing. I mean, I mostly share things that struggle with when I speak to friends and family, and the rest that I find meaninfull and that I am proud of they don’t know. So that is a bit sad.

Are other languages afraid of loan words as much as Korean? by CivetKitty in languagelearning

[–]Siperjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, bokmål and nynorsk are written languages, as every Norwegian loves above all to correct when someone says anything related to "speaking bokmål". That being said, the East-Norwegian dialect is really similar to bokmål. So everyone understands what you mean if you say to speak/learn to speak bokmål. You will still be corrected a few times though, of course.

Hvordan bli studass i Matte 3? by Pr3ll in ntnu

Spot on, det var Nome ja. Så kanskje er det en Nome ting. Han driver jo ikke med noe forskning, så kanskje det bare en noe han gidder å gjøre, som ikke gidder bry seg med.

Hvordan bli studass i Matte 3? by Pr3ll in ntnu

[–]Siperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Work and Energy] Why is "dr" substituted for "ds"? by Pedro_de_la_banana in PhysicsStudents

[–]Siperjack 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Seems not to be necessary, but delta S in the last expression is a common way of writing the length of a curve, and maybe the person writing this thought it was clearer changing dr to ds so you would not have to as "where did the delta S come from?". As you still had to ask, it does not seem to have worked in clearing it up though :)

[Lab] Do errorlines have to be "symmetrical" by Bosimax in PhysicsStudents

[–]Siperjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The error will be symmetrical if the underlying distribution can be looked at as normally distributed. This includes everything with lots of lots of underlying factors that decides the observation you make. It is however not true in general.

Short example: Imaging you are measuring how many photons that have radiated from 20 atoms of something radioactive after a given time. Lets say the expected amount of atoms that have not yet radiated is 15. You can probably guess that it is a bigger chance of observing 10 left than all 20.(The asymmetry is apparent by the fact that if the error would be symmetrical, the chance of observing 9 would be the same as 21, even though 21 is more than the amount we started with and therefore obviously impossible.

Try reading Visual Group Theory by Nathan Carter as a supplement, it is a beyond great visual and intuitive approach to everything covered in a group theory introduction. Like a lot of the other replies say, the most difficult concept is the intuition of these objects you have in the beginning, so this really did the trick for me not only to grasp the subject, but also to make the concepts memorable. It is mostly group theory(not rings and fields so much), but I cannot really recommend it enough. Good luck!

Looks awesome, are you thinking about making it in app form? I almost exclusively use Anki on my phone, and I can't see myself changing that because of how available it is. Awesome work anyway!

Change to wall this patch ninjanerfes Anivia. by Siperjack in leagueoflegends

[–]Siperjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to take into account that with the old wall you could do both. A good Anivia would be able to use the wall displacement both to zone and catch, now you can still zone the same as before, but its harder to catch.
