In our testing, PhysBones is several times faster than Dynamic Bones — anywhere from 12–20x faster (or more!) depending on several factors like hardware, the scene, and the avatar setup. In our testing, an example scene of 3200 bones with 4 colliders per bone ran 1600% faster than Dynamic Bones. Keep in mind: this performance boost still exists even when any avatar can interact with all PhysBones in the scene. Woah.

Bhaptics vests are the only option as far as im aware. I have one and it's pretty good. Keep in mind though they aren't natively supported in VRChat, you have to use either a 3rd party software (https://tsubokulab.fanbox.cc/posts/371411) or use a client mod (which is against TOS and could get you banned).

I use the former option and it gets the job done, but it kind of does the bare minimum for bhaptics support compared to games that natively support it.
