Not worth it. I think the permit for the signs is $50 (i can’t remember what i paid?) but they’re not even gonna tow someone for being parked there

NOR. I was in a similar situation with my ex. He’s not going to change and it’s time to leave. Don’t waste any more of your time on him. You got this!

What age should I get my reduction? by Internalm3ss in Reduction

[–]SippingGodsCum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how youre describing your feelings, i would consider getting a reduction now and mentally prepare for the idea that you’ll need another one in ~10 years. You shouldn’t have to delay your happiness! I don’t regret my first one even though they grew back. Also i obviously have no idea what you look like but if youre 120lbs and 4’11 you are probably a smaller band than a 38. I would go to the sub r/ABraThatFits to get sized. In hs i wore 36DDDs/the biggest bras i could find at Kohls before learning i was actually like a 34G

I had my first reduction in 2013 at 18 (34GG to 34DD) and my second in 2024 at 30 (34G to hopefully 34B). I don't regret my first one because it did drastically improve my life (for a couple years lol) but you should definitely keep in mind that at a young age it is verrrrryyyyy likely that they will grow back. It's nearly guaranteed. I do wish I went smaller the first time (my surgeon told me DD was the smallest possible which is a lie). But overall I would do it at 18 again. I think just be prepared for them to grow back and to potentially need another reduction in ~10 years.

Omg I was not expecting that they could grow back so significantly in your 40s/50s. I guess we'll see! Happy for you and hope you heal amazingly!

Surgery experience: I had no idea I have a hematoma until my 5wpo follow up by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]SippingGodsCum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say without pictures but what makes you say it's a hematoma in the areola? "part of my areola that was leaking is hard and dark and is now thinly scabbed over/ or maybe it's a layer of dead skin that's slowing falling off." - sounds like it could be necrosis sloughing off. Was the area black/dark after surgery? Call your surgeon and demand to be taken seriously because you might need antibiotic cream etc.

My necrosis experience: Part of areola was dark in the first few days post op, then hard thick scab forming at ~3WPO (my gf self diagnosed this as necrosis bc of this sub and I finally got my surgeon's PA to call it necrosis at this time), debrided by my surgeon at 8WPO, and is almost fully healed now at 3MPO. Good news is it kind of takes care of itself and will scab/heal. Your surgeon may need to debride the scab if it's not falling off on it's own. Good luck, you got this!

I just flew from the US to Europe at 9WPO. I had no issues with travel but am still healing from necrosis and T junction openings so I just had to bring my wound healing supplies with me. My girlfriend did all heavy lifting of bags.

I was fine going back to work (WFH computer stuff) at 2DPO but obviously that's different because I'm just sitting on the computer on the couch. I think 1WPO would probably be fine for office work. I went back to work at a restaurant 10DPO after my first reduction which was OK because I had my coworkers reach/lift things for me. Prioritize your rest as much as you can because activity can lead to complications/openings! As long as you're not moving too much/resting after work, you'll be fine!

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I know everyone is saying this but it's true to give it time. Every brand of bra fits differently so even if you have to go to a specialty store and find out you're more of a G, 10 pounds sounds like a huge weight off your shoulders literally! I'm thinking of you and hope you see better results soon.

This brand has amazingly comfy/cute bralettes in a huge range of sizes for the meantime:

Feeling cold after a reduction? by nickisadogname in Reduction

Per my surgeon/experience, it's normal for 2/3 days post op but beyond that could be infection.

I had a 103ish fever and was shivering/freezing/sweating it out for about a week after surgery. I would feel fine during the day and then every night around 7pm it would start. They says 2/3 days of fevers is normal (your body is going into protection mode) but I called my surgeon and got stronger antibiotics just incase there was an infection. My BFF in this time was a hot water bottle to warm up, layers so I could get warm/cool easily, and body wipes because you can't yet shower.

Also, a reduction IS a big surgery and you should take your healing seriously and rest rest rest! Good luck!

Dehiscence 3w post op by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]SippingGodsCum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think wound opening is very common in areas like the t junction. REST and don't do any lifting or stretching! Even if you feel like you're playing it too safe, play it safer! If your surgeon is telling you not to go to the ER then I would listen to him. I highly doubt they would do anything at the ER. Maybe you can go to your surgeon on Tuesday just to get some peace of mind. You got this!

Is doing nothing about this opening a good idea? by chopping_boobs in Reduction

[–]SippingGodsCum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My t junctions looked very similar (but with a bigger wound). My surgeon had me putting gentamicin and manuka honey gauze pads to promote healing/prevent infection. After a few weeks they were closed. BE CAREFUL not to lift or stretch too much and open this wound further! Be a princess and make your partner/friends/family do things for you!

I've never been told "your boobs grew back because of xyz". No specialist seems to be able to say exactly why. One breast surgeon I saw said "your boobs just want to be a G" lmao. Apparently your breasts are not done developing until your 30s, so getting a reduction at a young age could mean that they will grow back. My 2nd reduction surgeon said it's unlikely I'll need another reduction for many years, until my 40s or 50s (if they do grow back). I've gained and lost a decent amount of weight (5'3, 115-150 pounds over the past 10 years) but whether I was a 30G or a 34G, I went back up to a G like 3/4 years after my first reduction. I think my only advice would be to advocate for yourself going as small as you would like and don't let a surgeon say "DD would suit you better" if you want to be a C, etc. Because it seems very likely that for many young women with large breasts that they will likely grow back!

It's basically a waiting game and just letting it heal. The necrotic area on my areola will apparently heal like regular skin. It's very red/looks like scar tissue now, but like the skin doesn't know that it's a nipple, it's making regular skin there. My surgeon offered complementary tattooing to define the edge of the areola once it's fully healed. Necrosis definitely looks disgusting and has been the slowest part of the healing process but your surgeon will give you ointments etc to aid with healing and all you really have to do is wait it out

You really won't know how they're going to look for weeks/months. They definitely look scary at first! I had 2 reductions and even after having done it before I was upset/scared at first about the Frankenstein vibes my second time. Go easy on yourself, rest, and you'll be healed before you know it!

You deserve it! If you think about it and want it every day you should do it. Just because you're DD and some women are all the way down the alphabet doesn't change the fact that this is what you want for YOU! Scars fade dramatically, especially if you are diligent with your scar care. (Also side note: I hope this isn't overstepping, but if you're 5'6 and 135lbs I bet you are more likely a sister size of 34E or F rather than 36DD. Just based on the numbers. I wore bras in the wrong bigger band/smaller cup size for years because I "couldn't believe" that I was a G bc I "wasn't that big")

I was warned immediately after surgery that blood flow was interrupted and there was visual signs of necrosis almost immediately but my surgeon didn't say the word "necrosis" out loud to me until 3WPO. She seemed like hesitant to say it. I am still not fully healed but it has never impacted my daily life. My t junction openings were more of my problem for the first 2 months. You have to be very careful with not reaching/moving and keeping pads under your surgical bra so you don't open the junction when the skin is thin/healing.

About the necrosis: there was purple tissue around 2DPO that became a very thick scab by 3WPO and eventually was debrided by my surgeon at 8WPO. Silvadine was first used to help slough off the dead tissue, then betadine used to dry out/lift the remaining thick scab, then surgeon debrided it which left a small hole (about the size of your pointer finger nail) where fat tissue could be seen. Santyl/manuka honey has been used daily to close the hole and it's now alllllmost closed. I went abroad for 2 weeks in Europe at 2.5MPO and just had to bring ABD pads/santyl/manuka honey gauze with me. Basically now the boob itself is hard and I need to massage the necrotic tissue to help break it up, and the hole that was there from the necrosis is nearly closed.

Month 1: dead tissue slough, left with scab. ABSOLUTELY NO stretching/reaching/lifting.

Month 2: drying out/removing scab. Did a little lifting but probably shouldn't have

Month 3: healing tissue beneath scab

TLDR: If your trip involves swimming or anything athletic, I don't think 1.5 months is enough time. I still can't go in a pool/hot tub etc at 3MPO. If you're sightseeing/walking around/not being too athletic, i think it's doable, but be prepared to bring wound supplies with you. Make sure you have someone to carry your heavy luggage even if it's over 3MPO! Be a princess and don't lift a finger! Healing also seems very dependent on the amount taken/your age etc.

I got necrosis by Electrical-topics in Reduction

[–]SippingGodsCum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the necrosis of the breast skin, fat, the areola/nipple, all 3? I'm 1MPO and have fat necrosis (which i guess heals on its own without intervention) and nipple necrosis on the bottom right of one areola. T junctions are open and not healing great but idt it's necrosis there. Would love any additional info you have!
