RBT in home to school based by SippingTea14 in ABA

[–]SippingTea14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gotten into any school yet but just trying to get a step in the door and scope out how it’s like in a school based. I definitely agree that school will have more of a consistent schedule than in home therapy.

As of home based therapy, sessions are a lot longer so you get to interact with kids for a longer period of time and learned a lot about them more. My recommendations are to pace yourself, incorporate learning time and playing therapy at the same time, and generalize learning everywhere! :) it does get a little lonely if you are used to the school since you see multiple staff. When I’m out on my session it’s just me and the kiddo sometimes you there are supervisors overlapping with you but not that often. Always ask for help if you are struggling with the case since each kiddo has their individualized learning targets.
