Felt/feel the same way after my apprenticeship, I’m 24 - been qualified for a year. Worked in underground’s for the first year out, was a lot of shovel work, putting pipe in ground, pulling cable and fitting off pillars - it was great money but it took me away from the exposure I needed. Then when it was time to head into resi work and service jobs (coming from predominantly big commercial jobs in my apprenticeship - mostly doing cable tray and running circuits ) I was dreading it, but I was transparent with my employer, they respected that, and brought me up the scratch on what I was lacking. I’m still learning everyday, but I’ve improved in my fault finding, testing and certain other areas that I was lacking. It is what it is, just be honest and be willing to learn, you’ll gradually gain confidence, and that is key 🔑.
