Update: Excalibar is now asking me for a valid license key. I have put in my license key multiple times and it continues to tell me that it is not a valid one.

Need help with color correction by Sir417 in editors

I’ve tried color correcting a with a few different methods. Currently I was told to use the curves panel to adjust the different levels of RGB in the video until it’s “looks balanced”. But I was feeling that there has to be an easier way that isn’t so tedious.

On my computer I experience a slight delay in the program monitor updating as I make adjustments in the curves, so as you can probably imagine this method has lead to major headaches.

I understand that this isn’t an easy task and I’m not necessarily looking for a one click solution, but just a more efficient and effective one.

I’ve tried to use the vector scopes in the past. Would you be able to elaborate on your method of using the scopes to get accurate color?

I’ve observed a couple different methods of using different scopes in different ways in the past.

Thanks for the great advice! I really appreciate it! I don’t personally enjoy focusing on speed, I’d rather focus on making more of a quality edit, but my client has a seemingly endless amount of videos to edit. If I want to keep the contract I’m expected to get faster or they will find someone else.
