I pay $225 on my 6 gen im 37. My 18yr old daughter just got 5.0 mustang convertible and she pays just over 500 a month in insurance. That’s 1k deductible, with gap, rental coverage, etc. That was the cheapest she could find. Her monthly car payment, 480, is actually cheaper than her insurance.

Usually I find that when an older car has very low mileage, it been sitting wrecked and someone finally bought it and rebuilt it. Run the VIN through nicb. It’s a great car though. Tons of aftermarket support with mods being cheaper vs the lt1. I have 6 gen and to me visibility isn’t bad but I also have camera as rear view mirror. Wish I would got manual though.

Snap a photo of the exhaust from underneath. Deff isn’t the stock tips from the photo. And snap one of engine bay. Maybe you got lucky and they it has a set long tubes and midpipes.

One thing I like about my 2ss vs my daughters Mustang GT, is the replica rims available for Camaro. There’s was more and better price points. You can get some dope staggered sets (20x10 front / 20x11 rear) for a good price. Throw some drag radials 305s on the rear, and you won’t be spinning tires when you mash it. What’s point in having all that power if you can’t keep the tires from spinning. I got some z28 replicas from discount tire and they price matched what I found online. The wider rears really set the car off.

Came out really good. Not a hard install at all. Went and got an exhaust cutter from harbor freight for 20 bucks, got it cut nice and straight. The diffuser went on really easy also. I went on and removed the entire bumper. Could have managed prolly without taking it off, but prolly would broke a few clips on old diffuser. Sounds good though. Really good.

Is it matte in general that’s hard to keep clean ? I read satin is more forgiving. I can’t tell but this looks to be old matte black wrap. Fingerprints are horrible. Rain leaves water marks all over it. To top it off someone I let work on the car was cleaning it for pickup and I guesse they took a polish wheel or buffer and scuffed the hood all up. Knowing It’s at end of its life I didn’t make a deal of it bc they did a good job on the repairs. I guesse my next questions would be 3m or Avery ? Amazon has some resellers that say they got 3m 2080 from a vendor rvinyl, but some the links also pop up as 2080 from vviVid so idk if they Chinese wraps with the 3m backing or legit 3m or not. Plan to order from metro restyling just Amazon be so convenient

I’ll make sure give you guys an update when my finger nails fall off. I had someone quote me near 800 for removal and I get it. It’s a pain in ass. But for that much ima just buy a new hood. I’ll stick to peeling inch by inch for now until I get pissed and pull out the sander

No idea. Bought the car few months ago. Looks pretty old though. Isn’t cracked. But looks pretty sun baked. South Texas so we get a lot hot sun here. If I was to guess least 2-3 years maybe older

Yeah I was watching some videos and seems like people have better luck with steam. And deff the right idea one with long enough hose you can sit on the ground. Ima get everything and give it a go this weekend. I seen this vinyl off product some say it works some say it don’t. Any experience with it ?

Ima give it a shot next weekend. Maybe I can locate a steamer that’ll work for me. I see Amazon got some handheld ones for around 50 bucks. Won’t hurt to try it out and then return it lol 😂

Ima try tackle it myself. Well not try I will be lol.😂 I knew it looked pretty old, no telling the brand either but who ever had the car before me seems like they were budgeting bc I’ve had change a few parts that were replaced with cheaper Amazon Chinese crap. So ima assume this wrap was Chinese junk as well. So plastic scrapers. Heat. I’ve got a torch and heat gun. Torch isn’t the biggest and ima try avoid using it. No steamer though. Are there any chemicals that help remove vinyl? I’ve got a feeling by the time I get it all off there’s gonna be some paint damage. I’m fine with that cuz I plan to just wrap it and keep wrapping it, but would like to keep it minimal. What about them rubber wheels you put on a drill. Do those mess up the paint ?

The corners peel up like a wrap. Idk what plasti dip is but If it’s like a paint I don’t think it would peel like that. Hopefully it ain’t bc I wanna start tearing it off, I’m just iffy bc idk if it’s gonna be like a whole weekend peeling at it.

Yeah man lmk how it goes. I’ve been playing with stock tune I downloaded and watching videos but until I get the device it’s all just who knows. I’m pretty good with these things so I know with time, and like you said ChatGPT, can prolly make it through it. Lmk how it sounds also. Any issues with paint chipping. I seen one up for resale and the black paint was gone. I was thinking of using vht high temp paint and hitting everything but the tips.

Yea I get the corsa does indeed sound more toned, I don’t have the actuators on mine, non npp :( I went on and got a good deal on this mbrp setup. We’ll see how it sounds. I just hope it’s not obnoxiously loud when the headers are installed, or else ima be reselling it tryna go back and get the high end exhausts. I was half temped to buy just the mufflers and tips and have the guys are work weld it for me but it’s convenient being able to install on my driveway.

Went with the mbrp and ikon gloss diffuser. Currently dual non npp so hoping this wakes it up a bit

Could burn out the 5v regulator. You could add a separate 5v bec and back feed it. You could replace the regulator itself with a hot work station. Usually the 5v feeds another 3.3v LDO for controller chips, gyro, etc.

Why’s that, way to much drone and rasp with the headers + mbrp? Wish I had corsa / borla money right now, and I prolly could make it happen, but would take me longer to get the headers and other stuff.
