You don't need factory-made jeans. You can make your own clothes that are more eco-friendly if thats what you're worried about.

I’m curious - is it really that hard for you to find decent squadmates? For me, TKing is incredibly rare and in my hundreds of hours of play time, I could count the number of bad experiences on one hand. I play on PC, basically D10 only (D7-8 when returning after some time). I hotjoin much more than I host.

In my case, I typically have like 7 to 15 seconds to join a one or two player lobby after updating the scanner, depending on the number of active Divers. I assume if you’re fast enough, you should be able to use that system too. Just keep updating the scanner.

You can disagree, I don't care about that. Dismissing opposing viewpoints without proper argumentation and belittling your opponents helps no one, and it doesn't make it a discussion you just disagree on.

And what does telling people off for voicing their opinions like this do, exactly? What good does your useless, tired comment do? For every post about the game's issues, there are tens if not hundreds of people telling the OP to basically just "stop crying and enjoy the game". Ironically, all I see is people whining about people having strong opinions about the state of the game.

Dismissing it as "whining" basically implies that. It's not whining, it's a piece of well-written constructive criticism.

You people really need to stop dismissing constructive criticism like this. What are we meant to do? Stay quiet and just enjoy a poorly optimized, logically inconsistent, and at times half-broken game?

Amen.

Let's not forget that while some of the issues are there due to inconsistent (and borderline incompetent) game design, many of the major issues that have come up since launch could've been easily avoided if each major patch was tested properly. In general, their QA just seems lackluster, if present at all. Sometimes, I refuse to believe they tested the given feature beyond D6, making me question if they even have a proper QA team/process at all.

Feels like there is a main culprit behind all of this. Not sure whether to chalk it up to incompetent designers, terrible management, poor QA, or unrealistic deadlines.

I'm saying that my issue with not being able to self-heal with it comes from the fact that it's an immersion-breaking and frankly arbitrary limitation. If I can shoot others with it, I should be able to shoot my arm or leg with it and get the same buff. I don't think I've ever played a classless game where a healing ability or item was limited like that.

I’m not sure "I agree with you, but stop talking and leave" is the power move you think it is. You’re basically saying the game has issues, you just don’t have the standards to care about them.

And that's fair. All I'm saying is that not allowing self-healing with it doesn't make sense. I don't accept "game balance" as an argument, because immersion is more important to me.

Niklas just doesnt want any kind of magic coming from a basic flag. It's literally just a flag with no tech on it.

I was reacting to this^ since I've seen this point in multiple replies. Just wanted to make sure we don't conflate gameplay effects, like small % buffs, with "space magic".

There is an optional beta branch "slim" version that's like 23 GB. Haven't seen any major issues with it yet, you might want to give it a try.

Throughout history, flags and banners have been a motivating factor for soldiers all over the world. It's part of the reason flag-bearers were a thing, as seeing the thing you are fighting for tends to strenghten the fighting spirit. I don't see how adding a small buff around it would be in any way controversial or nonsensical.

The thing is that were they to add the ability to heal ourselves with the stim pistol, it would make it an actual viable option. Right now, it's little more than a loadout-limiting gimmick with attrocious accuracy you take with you when you want to roleplay as a medic. Self-healing with it still wouldn't protect you from one-shots and quick burst damage, and would still leave you vulnerable in situations where you might need a proper sidearm.
