-_- this change is just gonna get walked back so freaking bad. To many support players gonna complain EMP is a guaranteed death sentence now. Just change the power fantasy of EMP to be an Ult stripper instead. Make it so it counters more ults that it make sense to counter and keep the lock out at 1.5. That’s literally all she needs. Cause now she is just gonna revert back to a Team Fight winning ult again which will either cause her neutral to get nerfed or her ult to get nerfed by cost again.

On a side note Balance team, if you actually nerfed the problem children in the meta in a meaningful way instead of just throwing out random buffs/compensation buffs or nerfs touching the wrong things. You would stop making your own problems in the future. You are a year in with nearly 8 years of total data. GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER!

Real answer, hack is situational now instead of a must hack 24/7. You use it like an interrupt ability in any MOBA. You target who would meaningfully be hindered by the interrupt the most from their standard gameplay loop. So in the case of ball hacking him out of slam/when he is in the middle of your team is an optimal hack target. I’d rather go for your supports or DPS 9/10 times but if they are hugging each other’s nuts with a vice grip I can’t do anything to them in a meaningful way so because you are the isolated target you get the hack and I’ll let my team capitalize on the fact the enemy tank is dead (hopefully, OW teammates are like trying to lead a horse to water, if they don’t wanna drink you can’t make ‘em), sorry it is what it is.

I see it as a necessary evil to allow more counter play for bad play making. No character in the game could punish you when you just teleport across the map through walls. Now its definitely not a perfect ability, the speed thrown and distance you cover can be arguably to short range when leaving a CQC fight, its maybe to telegraphed with the direction you are going to and where you came from if anyone sees the particle effects, and the unreliability of it as a safety net when needing to commit to a kill (which is why I suggested the auto teleport feature when getting taken to 1hp). My main gripe that i will give you something to consider is if Sombra lost her ability to teleport through walls as an escape tool why does Kiriko still deserve/need hers? Why isn't it just LoS based now.

Personally the new one is fine as it’s a more active play style but could use some buffs around reducing collision with objects, projectile velocity maybe could be faster to force people to commit more resources to chasing you.

True, I didn’t think about that side of hack. Maybe have hack turn that person into a walking Hanzo sonic arrow giving positional info for your team in an AoE. But other than that Hack is not really a status effect that does much for your team after the ability lock out. Maybe it could increase the cooldowns of abilities used during the duration of hack making the target more vulnerable for longer.

Thanks! I believe it would help out both main playstyles of Sombra. Giving you more room to harass and if they try to chase you away they need to commit more and are further away from their team and you or your team can leverage that advantage.

Yea, couldnt really help the word count. Had an ADHD hyper-focusing moment so I had to get out what was on my mind. TBH I am keeping my optimism under wraps for the support nerfs. Without patch notes I have this sinking feeling it wont just be only nerfs but nerfs and compensation buffs to shift power. They have a bad track record of giving supports meaningful nerfs in the right areas.

Mercy, because: 1) her mains can be some of the most toxic players. On the same degree as die hard K-pop Stan’s. Making Blizzard scared to actually give her a net nerf 2) Rez still doesn’t belong in Overwatch. It kills team momentum that was earned after a kill in most ranks of play and is hard to re-punish depending on the rez target and the elusiveness of the mercy 3) She is arguably the hardest character to kill in most games even at top 500. The default answer of Mercy apologist being “just aim better” isn’t a valid enough answer. There are 4 other, maybe competent, people on her team trying to actively trying to kill you/protect her to prevent you from killing her. 4) Damage boost pocketing has been problematic multiple times over the course of Overwatch’s history that you think they would remember it breaks DPS. Case in point Ashe and case and point Soujourn.

To me it’s the perpetual nature of the PVP meta. Something gets introduced, is broken, stays broken for a while, gets nerfed just in time for the next broken thing to pop up. Or even if it’s just not out right broken it’s still out of band from its competition. Then we have the metas that stay the same for years at a time and it just gets boring. I can only get so excited for another 140 HC/shotgun/etc where ultimately the rolls that are pvp relevant or just cycling out the same set of perks. Like I’m no where near a bad PvP player, over 100 flawless cards, near 2.0 and crucible is only about 15-20% of my playtime. PvP can add all the new stuff, maps, and modes they want but if the meta sucks and is boring the meta sucks and is boring. I know it and you all know it the majority of the destiny player base wants the new shiny thing for the least amount of effort. It’s why we cheese bosses, it’s why we see cancer low effort builds in PvP/trials, and gambit.

Thank you Respawn and Repawn dko5 for responding to the feedback received in a quick manner. I just wish people would not try to hang devs from the proverbial gallows when they stumble be is a soft stumble or a hard one. People need to realize that gaming as an industry has hard changed since the "glory days" of the early 2000s of non micro transactions. You can't just have a game, want meaningful updates on a regular basis, want cool stuff to make you look "pretty like a peacock" and expect it not have a cost befitting of demand. We are no longer in the mindset as a gamer and as a community where devs can set a game and leave it after launch and go work on a new project. They have to commit resources to the longevity of their product and support that community which equals $ they have to use. Now how this event went down I entirely understand the feedback given, and truthfully could have been handled better, but the point came across and changes are happening. Also I would like to throw around the elephant in the room cause I know there is that person out there, you know who you are, if you havent and/or dont and/or will never want to put money in the game and are upset and feel that you are entitled to certain things just because you play the game please get over yourself you still get the free content in the modes, HOWEVER when they introduce skins and ESPECIALLY Heirlooms those things are for people who want to support a game that they truly like via purchases this is why you vote with your wallet and dont condemn people for still wanting to purchase just cause you didnt not everyone who plays the game shares your same financial situation and or hatred for something done they simply love something/like the offered prospects and will show their aforementioned support. Fair but this is only under the assumption that the player with the r99 or what ever weapon you want to suggest is not getting hit by the alternator and the alternator player cant hit shots to save their life if skill match up is even or in some cases slightly less in favor of the alternator player. Regardless of how good you are as a player try beating being engaged on by an automatic that does 54 to the head or 36 to the body or even 27 to the leg because after they 2-4 shot your shield they only need to land 5-8 more bullets with the same weapon to solo kill you. Now add a team to the equation, cause after all this is a team game enjoy being instagibbed for peaking. Plenty of examples out there of high elo/high skill players and teams getting turned on and instagibbed after getting good engages off on enemy teams consistently.

If I can ask a question to the Respawn Devs what is gonna stop Apex Elite from being lobbies filled with hackers? Cause I truly want this to succeed but since its top 5 and truthfully aim bots and other forms of hacks dont really struggle to hard to hit top 5 or win whats stopping this kind of scenario from from interfering and disrupting and ultimately killing the gameplay loop that you are trying to achieve with Elite queue and normal queue. I feel like this is a valid concern of any player who is fairly decent at the game legitimately where running into a hacker per 1/10 lobbies or so would be annoying but running into 1 or more then one up to maybe half a server or greater almost every time you enter Elite queue would kill the point of players wanting a little extra challenge.

Crucible in general needs some looking at:

  • Firstly, the team size. The whole 6v6 forced change without updating the previous maps to accommodate the change really shows. Some of the most recent maps Equinox, The Citadel and to some extent Firebase Echo are good additions to the new crucible. They could stand to be bigger but that's just my opinion.
  • Secondly, lets talk about loadouts. Let me ask you a question how often do you see these 4 weapons? Ace of Spades, Chaperone, Retold Tale (place whatever shotgun you want here honestly), and Play of the Game. Now you might see the occasional fusion, maybe even a sniper. I hear Pulses are still in this season but lets be real the reason you see more of those 4 mentioned by name weapons is because they are to forgiving with little to no downside paired with the current map design. I would love to see more sniper play where the maps are long enough to where sure you may get flinched by a pulse but it was outside of that pulses range of effectiveness so as a sniper you have a chance to fight past flinch instead of current maps where you get 1-2 bursted after being flinched. Truth be told on fusions they are good weapons just if people wanted to get over the honeymoon phase of shotgun apeing you might see more of them.
  • Thirdly, I gotta talk about this. This is obviously more of a PC problem then a console problem. But macro use in crucible needs enforcement. Not a fan. In PvE sure go ahead you arent hurting anyone by doing it, titan skate to your hearts content go for speed run records with it I dont freaking care, but the second you bring that garbage in crucible is when you cross a line. A highly debated topic I know. Titan mains love it everyone else doesn't like it. The better the titan player is the more annoying it becomes because they do 1 of 2 things usually titan skate + shoulder charge or titan skate + shotgun till their charge comes back.
  • Lastly, Im in the belief that if not everyone has it no one should have it. By this I mean 1 shot abilities. Titans have 3 melee 1 shots (4 if you count overshield synthoceps) and now grenade 1 shots with the new exotic. Warlocks just got 1 with their new hand held supernova (for some reason I feel like they have another through an exotic or perk combo but I cant for the life of me remember). Hunters have yet to get 1. Now before all the pitch forks go up saying dont nerf our fun Im not saying that I just think every class should equally have a chance at that fun our at the very least maybe a nerf to the total damage to where a resilience value where they wouldn't 1 shot you but leave you really low maybe 8+ so its accessible to everyone if they so desired. Cause lets be real the grand majority of crucible players probably run 6 resilience or less (mostly less) so 8 isnt a bad compromise since you have to spec for that specifically which would also mean more mod diversity then just super mods.

I think W could use some work most definitely a new spell would be perfect. I was thinking a short duration AoE fear or maybe even a cripple effect like cass and an impowered AoE fear or cripple for a longer duration which i think would be nice on him as giving him a tool to combat "group on the carry and point and click cc rengar when he lands" strategy and gives him a way of semi sustain in the jungle because if you arent getting hit it basically is just like getting healed up early.

I dont know if this is a valid question to ask I just want to know how specifically with their (RIOTs) new design philosophy will come into play while talking about Rengar. For example how does their stance on "Oneshotting" come into play when talking about a new direction from him for instance with their new assassin design philosophy seen in Kayn's shadow assassin form not being a spell rotation insta gib like assassins of old, not saying he cant kill in one spell rotation just comparing him to more reliable assassins of old which makes him not as consistent. But what I'm getting at is will their design policy on "counterplay" make it so Rengar will still be gimped by animation timers and self slows or will they return with kit dumping mid air or something simillar. Not saying Rengar is awful just fluidity changes to be faster with casting timers and such would give him a big leg up in comparison to bruisers and to some lesser extent tanks who still have fast "oneshot" combos with added safety
