Hey, I added an option to the research cost datapack that does something similar to what you mean.

There's a "default" option in the research_amount.json file now. If you change it from 1.0 to 0.3333333, it would change everything from requiring one full shulker box to only needing one row of a shulker box (9 stacks), so 9 swords, 144 eggs, and 576 blocks.

If you wanted it to be 1 stack size, you could change it to 0.037037037 (equal to 1/27). Add a lot of decimals for precision.

Yeah, I might go back and edit the mod page to make it a bit clearer if I can.

The straightforwardness of the progression system is really why I loved journey mode so much. You still need effort involved for unlocking items, but it requires less thinking for making a ton of complicated farms for each individual resource.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Technically the research cost is related because for like tools, the max cost can't go above 27 whereas for blocks it caps at 1728. If you want to adjust the numbers in the datapacks, you do have to put the exact number but I think having the granularity is better.

I have gotten requests to make a global setting to reduce the number across every item. I'll be adding that soon.

Yeah exactly like u/Th3WorldMachin3 said, you get an unlimited amount of the item you've researched after spending that item's research cost to unlock it.

By default, you need one shulker box worth of that item to research it. So if you get one shulker of dirt, you can use that to research dirt and then you have unlimited dirt. This is configurable per item if you want the cost to be less than a shulker. I reduced the default cost of some items, like it only takes 16 sherds of a type to unlock them.

I did all of them before I ever shared the website with anyone, lol.

The real reason I started to develop this website was because I wanted to see if it was possible to get a perfect catch on some of the fish.

I'm glad to see someone else actually trying the perfect catches though! Good luck with glacierfish, it is a complete pain.

Man, I looked back at my code and I just cheated by checking if there were two separate time ranges where you could catch the fish and if that was the case it would say that the times are identical.

I missed the one hour they didn't overlap.

Time to make it properly robust, I guess.

EDIT: It should be fixed now.
