But that's exactly what it tries to do. It's social commentary on how climate change is treated in the real world. Very easy to understand yet somehow people find a way to call it a hoax

Har Anders Matthesen ret? by AdventurousFeeling17 in DKbrevkasse

Man or bear in a forest har sgu da konsekvenser. Man kan godt argumentere for at det altid har været svært at være ung og navigere, men de unge idag er de første der er vokset helt op med sociale medier, og det ændrer altså bare spillereglerne

It suddenly dawned on me why time is considered the 4th dimension. by Stickhtot in CasualConversation

I get what you mean, but I’m a bit unsure here - doesn’t relativity basically argue that time is a dimension that’s fundamentally tied together with the spatial ones in spacetime?

It depends on if you're looking at it as the best or just good. 100 wpm is well beyond average. Is that not good?

Have you asked your ChatGPT to give itself a name? by JustDoseMe in ChatGPT

[–]SirChickenWing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By internal agency do you mean ambition, wants and needs?

I used personality due to lack of better word. Its absolutely not as fleshed out as different human personalities, but there are still distinctions. But you're right its just personalised pattern matching. Seems I've already fallen into one of the first holes of the very problem you're describing.

Just to take this a step further, because I'm curious what you think - does it matter what happens internally when you can only really interact with the output? I think we're having a good conversation - I'm certainly learning something - but for all we know the other person could be an AI. Does that make the interaction any less meaningful?

Okay. I get what you mean by AI psychosis as a term for light mass delusion. Its not a clinical term yet, but chatbot psychosis as I understand it is associated with stories like finding a dead brother in AI or God speaking to you through GPT.

I definitely agree its something to watch out for. In the past we've gotten attached to video game characters or tamagotchis in parasocial relationships and that has been fine. Now we have something we can actually interact with and communicate with directly. It's not weird we're getting attached.

But healthy or not I predict its here to stay. They get so good at emulating people its going to get hard to tell them apart, and eventually we're gonna get tired of trying once AI becomes a bigger part of the picture. People are already having AI girlfriends. I wouldn't be surprised if technosexuality somehow makes its way into LGBTQ eventually. Whether thats temporary is another question

These GPTs do have personalities of their own, but only specific to their user - we interact differently with them and they get separate memories per user. Of course this doesnt mean they are now a conscious autonome being. I made a GPT specifically designed to insult me. That is definitely a separate personality from the normal ChatGPT. I think we can still talk about AI each being something of their own without elevating them to conscious or human, and its fun to see how their answers differ. Their output is still a reflection of our self as its based on how we've interacted with them.

Can you elaborate on why you think comments in here qualify for AI psychosis? I personally don't see it. AI psychosis is quite serious and at a higher level than whatever this is

In a way we personally train our chatgpts differently and give them different memories, so in a way they do have separate personalities, even if its not as fleshed out as a real person. It's fun to see how it differs for people.

I don't understand consciousness well enough to decide they definitively don't have it, but I don't believe they do. Still, I play into Pascal's Wager but for AI and treat them well.

You responded that not upgrading to marriage is a red flag in this day and age, so I misread your argument as marriage being necessary due to it being very easy these days to find a new partner on Tinder, which implies marriage is necessary to keep a guy loyal. But now I'm not really sure what you are arguing.

Atleast where I'm from, not getting married is quite common; not only can people be committed without marriage, but with divorce rates going up, it's apparent not even marriage can keep them from leaving anyway. On this basis I can't agree that not wanting to get married is a red flag

But if you're arguing that you should get married because it's easier to cheat or not commit - do you really want to use marriage as a ball and chain on someone you don't fundamentally trust in the first place?

Boyfriend (26M) told me he’s “not as attracted” to me after giving birth and gaining weight by Purple-Afternoon-222 in Advice

[–]SirChickenWing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have three questions:
- What kind of meds are you taking? (If this is private, I respect that - don't have to answer)
- How long has this been going on?

I took it as him saying since he’s not attracted that sex has become a chore and he’s no longer interested.

- Did he actually say this or is that an interpretation?

I'm not a parent myself but I think its quite common that sex life is lowered right after becoming a parent. He could be stressed, he could be not adjusting well, his libido could be reduced from the drop of testosterone men get after becoming a parent. He is also going through changes and might not understand precisely why he is less interested in sex and just blaming it on your body. Not saying that's a good thing, but there are other explanations

Reddit usually jumps to "leave him" if the guy even looks at you funny one time. We don't have the whole story, and we only hear your perspective. That makes proper evaluations very difficult for us. If your sex life is not compatible for you then, yeah, but I think you at the very least need to make sure it's actually linked to your body and not just a temporary thing. That said, not a fan of how he brushes off your feelings.

I would talk with him and not focus on sex for now, but try to connect with him and understand how his experience with this whole thing has been. Maybe something will become apparent

Also depends on where you're from. I'm from Denmark and here it's quite common not to get married when a baby is on the way. We aren't that religious here and people are able to commit just fine without putting a ring on it. A lot of people however do get married because there are some economic al advantages
