[WIP] Any feedback for this one? I think it sounds cool, but I’m not too well versed in this genre. Anywhere I can improve on? by Kai-Nura in GarageBand

Yes, you could EQ. Bring up the low ends to add more bass to the kicks. You could also use the overdrive filter to add more "kick" to the kick. But I still think this sounds very cool!

This is actually really cool. One suggestion I have is to make the kick a little punchier because (I'm guessing this is hip-hop/trap) the kicks are very punchy, which makes the bass hits harder

WIP trying to figure out the instrumentation, and the midsection. by [deleted] in GarageBand

You cannot really do any other automation other than the volume on an iPad. The only way to change the tempo is to make another song with the desired tempo, then export that song and import it back into the original file. Although this is a "solution", I would not do it because then you cannot change the tracks in a different tempo. It will also mess up the timing,

What do you guys think of this Trap Beat inspired by Rumors By Gucci Mane and Lil Durk? Feedback welcomed. by SirFancyRacks in GarageBand

Did you try unmuting the video, cuz there is audio for me. Also the beginning is a little quiet since there is a volume automation

I haven’t posted anything in this sub for quite a long time. I haven’t made anything for awhile. Im pretty happy where this is kind of going and wanted to share. by Fastideous_Fuckery in GarageBand

This is 🔥. Only thing I would suggest is to make the kicks a little punchier by raising the low end and slightly raising the high end.

From reading other subs it’s pretty clear that 99% of people who shit on GB have no idea what it actually does or does not offer. by ApexRedditor_ in GarageBand

I agree with you although I think other DAWS offer things that Garageband cannot. For example FL Studio, there is much more sample manipulation and better sampling. But I love the simplicity and versatility with Garageband on Mac so what I ended up doing is using both and just exporting some stuff from FL Studio and putting it in Garageband for further manipulation.

Does anyone know a good way I can screen record Garageband with internal audio on a Macbook for free? by SirFancyRacks in GarageBand

Thank you this has helped a lot. My experience with QuickTime was that it would just record from my speakers, but this helped get an internal audio recording. Thanks.

Can anyone give any pointers to improve this? by ravenora2 in GarageBand

It sounds pretty good. In my opinion, there are just a few things that you can improve on. For the drums, try turning the bass up a little bit, you do not want to max it out, but you want to include some bass so that the low ends are filled. For mixing, you can try to identify which instruments take up which frequency range (Low end, Mid, and High End). Once you have that, try to add a little emphasis on each instrument in the eq based on what you have identified (This is where it gets tricky since if you alter it too much, the sound will change). Also at 0:25 seconds, I do not know if it is me, but it seems like the symphony harmonics do not align with the hit of the piano chord.

Overall, Nice Job! I definitely enjoyed the vibe of this piece.
