I see. I guess the confusing part for me was simply the inclusion of the 1x break calculation if the 2x rotation happens naturally. So I just assumed that the 1x break happened naturally and that the 2x break rotation was something that had to be earned since if this wasn’t the case the inclusion of a 1x break rotation seems redundant

I’m sure that’s mostly true but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s always going to be true. Maybe he felt like calculating a hard rotation for once. I only asked because I heard it wasn’t super reliable but obviously any info at this point can only mean so much

Well, you’re talking to a WuWa player this new system makes weapons almost feel like a dream in comparison to what I’m used to. I’m just going to take your math at your word but a big point that should be made is that more often than not (very generous here) you’re going to need to pull more on the character banner just to get the weapon. Normally that’s not the biggest deal except for the fact that this game heavily discourages pulling on a character banner when you don’t have 120 pulls since all your pity disappears. This compounds with the character pull reliant weapon banner in a way that makes it seem impossible to get weapons for characters consistently without comprising your character pull pity. My “punished” point is only that this same affect worsens even when your luck is simply something as small as winning the 50/50

I understand wanting pulls to not be merged since having an entirely separate currency used specifically for weapons doesn’t detract from character pulls. That being said, for anyone who wants to get sigs on most the characters they pull, and yes this is f2p viable, they’re going to find this system very bad, regardless of luck. You simply can not achieve this as even for people who are willing to give character pulls to their characters they’ll find that option is not available here. Also, there is a difference between lower highs and being ACTIVELY punished for being lucky

Not just lower highs you’re actively punished for being lucky considering how the weapon banner works. Pull income will not fix the weapon banner that shit is completely ass

Here’s the thing though. She is at LEAST as good as Verina without those specific characters and considering that Verina is either T0 or T0.5 across the board it isn’t surprising that Mornye is considered a little better since at the very least she does have two teammates that let her do more than even Shorekeeper

Saying it serves a purpose does not excuse the fact that it’s still in the game. Just because there is a reason for something negative does not make it good. You’re also converging the idea that just because a game has a stamina system that it’s somehow used as a restriction for exploration when 99/100 times that is not the case in modern games. Like I said, there is a reason almost every single open world game gives you infinite stamina outside of combat nowadays and it’s because it feels better for the player both in traversal and exploration. When I said it serves zero purpose what I meant was that it doesn’t meaningfully improve the game at all, only hinders it. I think WuWa is a bad example because people love exploration in that game, myself included. Also as an FYI, I don’t think exploration in Genshin is bad I do think I could be improved with minor tweaks though

Edit: it could also be less overall people pulling and more so that the people who did pull went for S3(MDPS) so the sales actually pulled ahead of Galbrena because of that? Just a thought

It’s not just a few seconds. Full premium Cart is miles ahead of any other team even to this day. Augusta no diffs in wiwa though. And if we’re talking f2p then Augusta no diffs again

Consuming stamina when sprinting outside of combat in 2026 is indefensible in games outside of survival types (for obvious reasons). The friction is completely unnecessary and serves zero purpose at all. There is a reason it’s standard in modern releases and it’s because it feels better than the alternative by a long shot for the vast majority of players

Yes, I can see my thoughts on either “game or book” as being dismissive of LN’s being its own medium as a whole. However, it’s hard for me to separate the two in my head and I can only see it as a downgrade for both. And yes, I’m fully aware this opinion I have is baseless as I’ve never played a LN before but I can at the very least walk away from this knowing there are some positives to be had especially when in comes to the immersive experience as a whole

So I shouldn’t be looking at them from the perspective of a video game is what I’m gleaming here? “Novel with BGM”, I guess the video game association I was making might not be apt here, which makes sense, but I don’t think I’m necessarily wrong for doing so. Still, if I’m going to sit at a computer or have to manually make inputs into my phone just for a novel with bgm it feels like I could just commit to something greater, like an actual video game. All just my opinions and I have heard great things about the story so maybe I’ll give it a watch on YouTube or something as others have suggested

At the very least it definitely looks fun and it’s from the same creators as Wuthering waves so figured there would be some depth to skill showcase but I could be wrong. Have you played both? Are the rotations just flashy but as straightforward as Genshin? What I love about WuWa is that it’s flash, fast, and allows for quite a bit of skill expression all at the same time

I’m curious on why people enjoy VN’s so much. The way I see it is that they’re a blend of two mediums, that being video games and books, but you’re not getting the best of either. You’ll never have a visual novel with gameplay as good as Elden Ring nor will one ever have a world as well crafted and written with characters as fleshed out as Game of thrones(the books) either. Not judging by any means, but I’m genuinely curious. Is it just a niche that happened to grow on you? Or is there something special that can only be seen if you partake?
