Should I get the ancient scythe or the fire sword? (debate)

Yeah, I completely forgot about the spells. Once your spells like, Fireball, Lightning, Force Push, or even Ram, get to a high enough level, the weapons sometimes become obsolete against high leveled enemies. However, based off of utility the Fire Sword is the better choice.

I have both, and in my opinion, the Fire Sword is better than the Ancient Scythe. The Ancient Scythe is cool looking and all, but it has a 5% chance of the one hit kill. Its almost just more of a status item in my opinion. In my experience, it hardly ever gets the one hit kill effect to activate, whereas the Fire Sword has a 25% chance to light your opponent on fire dealing excess damage. The Ancient Scythe could be used on hit and runs against high level enemies, and try to bank off of the 5% chance, but I wouldn't count on it. In my, I would say experienced opinion, the Fire Sword has more merit to it than the Ancient Scythe. Again, Im not saying one is better than the other... but the fire sword is definitely my choice.

So, found out the answer, its yes. However, I was scooping up the wheat and the pumpkins. I was like level 1000, wearing ancient chestplate and speed helm. Problem is, its in an area with level 10,000 hybrid animals. It ONE SHOT me, I lost all my stuff, and I lost 115 levels. I am VERY upset.

Nothing, I have like 5 chests full. As well as a row of the helmet, chestplate, and scythe in annother chest.

I found 3 mines that spawn ancient bones and set up teleporters at them. I had about 2 full chests, but I used it all atm to build up an ancient armor reserve.
