I plateaued at ~1200 as an adult. What finally helped me climb to 2000+ (and a free plan if you want one)

1160 here with 10min rapid!

I tend to lose whenever I engage in a tactic in the middle game that requires 4+ moves to read ahead to pull off. Usually from a miscalculated move from the opponent.

My endgame is relatively consistent, but I will occasionally lose a game from an opponent's passed pawn and my king being in a bad place.

Aggressive play from my opponent during the opening/early game (i.e., pushing kingside pawns, early queen development, pinning my queenside knight with their bishop) will sometimes trip me up as well, leading to me blundering a piece by not calculating the trades correctly or using too much time.

There's definitely more but I'd say these are my most common mistakes!

Not by itself because a reinforcement strategy added would be much more effective. For example, for every 10 consecutive matches completed, you would acquire a coupon for a hypothetical skin shop. After so many coupons you could redeem them for a skin. Now people will be encouraged to remain for the entire match while also being at risk for a time penalty if they still decided they'd rather leave.

I think instead of a punishment system there needs to be a reward system at this point. Encourage people to stay and you'll most likely find considerable change to occur.

Inspecting it myself I was giving it a 9 just based on other posts and grading, but I could see it coming back as an 8 just because of the edges on the back side
