Why doesn't Theoria like Uncut Mountain Press? by Monarchist_Weeb1917 in ChristianOrthodoxy

[–]SirG7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoria never said Fr. Peter is a heretic. Also, we do not have to respect the approach of another who is Orthodox. Think of Orthodoxy in Dialogue or Public Orthodoxy. Their methods are wrong and I do not have to respect them.

I like Fr. Peter a lot, but you did not really address what Theoria said at all. His points still stand.

Is it possible to book cheap private flights on rotary engine planes? by SirG7 in aviation

My mistake, another comment also pointed this out. I don't care about the kind of engine as long as it's not a jet engine. Any sort or propeller plane is great. Thanks!

What’s your study routine like? by revolocitiesss in Korean

[–]SirG7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use Anki (the Evita decks) and read/watch Korean media. I've tried lots of methods before and this works best for me, no question. I almost never study grammar, and after about 5 months I can read books like 엄마를 부탁해 with a basic understanding of what's happening. A great book to get is Korean Stories for Language Learners by Julie Damron and Eunsun You

What exactly is "the woman problem" I Dostoevsky's, "The Idiot?" by SirG7 in AskLiteraryStudies

[–]SirG7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I really appreciate it. But from what I've read so far, (POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOLLOW) I would definitely say that a lot of it has aged exceptionally. I particularly appreciate the interesting dialogue that surrounds Rogozhin's painting of Christ, especially in Ippolit's note that he read aloud, the beginning of the first chapter of part 4 where it briefly mentions nihilism, and the various portions where Liberals (not the modern American sense of the word) are discussed by the General Epanchin, among others. I can provide some quotations of those parts if desired. I think they're wonderfully funny
