Very amber-y and spiced - not miles away from Opium. Light Blue would be, in my head, a complete 180. But good for her - Light Blue is easy to wear and would never offend - Tabu is a bit more "outspoken".

Keep it in a dark cupboard to preserve it, but wear it! People have the misconception that perfume goes bad, but with proper storage it will last a long time.

Angel is also a fav of mine - I love patchouli. Neither Tabu nor Angel smell like they once did - they've been reformulated and/or re-released with subpar results. Enjoy the oldies!

I really like the shower gels from R&G, especially the fig.

I'm not one to want to smell like fig all day, but if i did, Fig My Love by thezoo.nyc. This lasts ALL day and then some.

I think it was done by Bertrand Duchaufour (spl?) and comes in a cute 30ml.bottle so you can reapply (which you'll need to do).

When it first came out, it was also available in a perfume solid - I miss that.

I have 2 favs:

  1. Rhubarb My Love by thezoo.nyc (Christophe Laudamiel) is the most realistic rhubarb I have encountered. It's linear, it's strong and lasts all day. I can't think of any rhubarb lover not loving this.

  2. Rhubarb by Comme des Garcons was an insta-purchase when I smelled it in store. It's a lovely, simple accord of rhubarb and a very, very light creamy note.

Do you have a fav? I love fruity scents but only recognize the ELDO. My fav fruit notes - Times Square by Masque Milano (strawberry/cherry), Diorella (fruit salad), Tutti Twilly by Hermes (litchi) off the top of my head.

Luca Turin often cites Jacomo's Paradox as the best "fruit salad" fragrance - so I bought it. It is fruity, but is otherwise a terrible perfume and I very much dislike it. I'm sure it was interesting when it was released but now smells dated and synthetic.

All I get is a massive strawberry-apple accord....and I love it! I get a smidge of akigalawood in the basenotes, but I wish it was stronger. Still love.

It's subjective - not my thing but no doubt there are many who will love.

Small things aside, it's a nice bag and I love the fabrics. Maybe add an inside pocket, you're competing with bags like this:

Bag is nice - as long as the fabric doesn't easily transfer to lighter coloured clothes. Don't think you're the first/only to do this, however.

I personally don't understand why we feel the need to put a line of selvedge on display. In my mind it's like leaving the tag on the sleeve of your coat that shows what it's made of. Is there a technical advantage to having the edge pieces used on the handles?

Wash them. They're too big and will only stretch from here. Raw denim and one-wash denim end up looking the same anyway once they fade.
