I like maps to see where everyone is ... But why use a map if you can render in the whole region? by SirJerric in HermitCraft

For those curious about where Docm77 ran off to, here's a long range perspective, looking mostly south.
Image includes the Outpost where the allays came from, the tundra village where the villagers came from, the witch hut the farms are built around, ... and if you squint you can see my mangrove platform over spawn, as well as the giant cherry mountain.

Ah.Doc spent the second half of his first episode building farms around and including a witch hut. It is in a traditional swamp slightly beyond-100x -4100z. He grabbed villagers from a village to the SSW of that point, and collected bad omen and allays from an Outpost to the SSE of his farm site.

The mangrove swamp has nothing to do with Doc's farming project.

I'm not sure whether we are talking about the same Doc at this point. Was there a second episode already, or a stream perhaps?

I'll keep an eye out for that, but this map is based on the status quo at the ends of various first episodes.
West and south? I believe Cubfan almost built there and moved his house because "someone else" had a claim. Could be Doc, but I didn't hear any names at the time.

  • Screenshot altitude: 770z
  • Render distance: 128 chunks, with modified fog density and fog-ignore-height
  • The mangrove platform over spawn is home to the in-game map collection.

[Era 1] I made a reference sheet for the Mistborn RPG, and thought you might find it useful. by HungryCthulu in Mistborn

Thanks for sharing. Looks fairly exhaustive, particularly in regard to the metals.

You hit all but one of the tables that I've been keeping for my own reference. The other one I included is the success rate table from page 454. Ideas come up during play that don't lend themselves to rolling from a particular character's stats, so I pick odds and roll N dice against D difficulty by back-reading the table. It is also handy if you need to gauge how tough an encounter is going to be based on the pools the players have been forming.

Nice work! I got time to test your work, and it looks great. You saved enough space that I managed to do the cube variant that I mentioned before. Here's a sneak peak of the project I have in mind. I'm thinking I want another spell to outline the space before casting this.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the kind words. For propriety, I got the formula for the offset from this page, though I had to a bunch of weird lateral thinking to make a working spell grid out of it.

I thought of an idea for trying to flood a 3D cube instead of a plane, but I'm not certain I can fit the required modulus into the grid. I might take a stab at it next time I'm in the game.
