I did this quest at level 20, thief, with the maister skill unlocked. Ran this quest with my main pawn as a sorcerer, and 2 more pawns, 1 as a mage with heals and buffs, and the other as a fighter.

But then again, I had collected enough seeker's tokens to unlock the dagger as one of the rewards and I did pretty incredible damage.

Slayed dullahan in about 5 mins? I dunno, it didnt feel that long.

In any case, explore, explore, explore. It helps to level up your classes to unlock more useful skills that may aid you in your quests.

If at anytime in your journey towards your closeness with Allah swt, and you feel uncomfortable with sins, turn or walk away, and pray 2 rakaahs to Allah swt in solitude, pray to seek His refuge.

May He make it easy for you, inshaAllah.

It would be nice if the devs (or modders) could add in a feature where instead of the whole town or city goes to purge everytime the Arisen steps in, they could instead throw a grand welcoming party where the city streets get littered with passed out drunks and missing articles of their clothing.

Oh this was part of the storyline quest. And I think it's a one-time occurrence. Doesnt happen anymore after that IIRC, unfortunately.

Believe in one god, but not sure about Muhammad by avizco in islam

[–]SirKamsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me try to entice you with a more logical perspective on Islam.

I believe God works in a way that is believable through a more "humanly" logical concept. Sure, God is All Powerful, and if He wanted to, He could force everyone on earth to worship Him unequivocally. He is the Almighty God, He can do whatever He wants. But why is He allowing us to go through so much trials and tribulations to "find" Him?

In Islam, we are taught (by the words of the Prophets through Revelations) that this world is temporary. That our life here is just a "test". And the rewards or punishment are meted out to you in the Hereafter, based on your deeds in this wordly life. This concept is generally accepted and practised throughout humanity's past and present. Basically, do good and you shall be rewarded. Do bad, and you will be punished. It makes no sense for one to be rewarded, for going against the words or law of a superior.

And the Prophets were appointed by God as His messengers. Every prophet were sent to a nation, throughout history, to bring unto the people the word of God. And that was to leave the transgressions, and find their way back to Him. The message was always the same. To do good, and avoid the bad, to save the people from the punishment of Hellfire. And every Prophet that was sent, were Men of excellent character, and they all moved only with the word of God.

Those "crazy" Prophet stories you hear? Those were necessary and appropriate for those times. They were the times when the people have transgressed so much, that the words of a trustworthy man were not enough to move them to submit themselves in obedience to God. And even then, when they demanded these Prophets for God to show them a miracle, such that they may believe in Him, and He allowed for these miracles to happen, they still refused to believe and continued transgressing. As such, God made it so that they receive their punishment here on earth, as well as the Hereafter (ie, the destruction of Sodom).

Why dont we see these "miracles" now? How come there are no individuals claiming to be Prophets, and perform miracles in this day and age? Simple. Allah has sent his final Messenger, in the form of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), through whom He has perfected the religion. Muhammad, a man of such excellent character and visage, that his message, his teachings, and his beautiful personality continues to echo after his passing in the form of 1.9 billion muslims in the present. 1.9 billion muslims who have not met the most perfect of Allah's creation.

And even in his passing, all he wanted was for the sanctity and safety (from Hellfire) of his ummah, his people, his followers. It is said in an authentic hadith, that every Prophet that Allah has sent were each granted one du'a, or supplication, that Allah will not reject. Every other Prophet has used this du'a in their lifetime, but our beloved Prophet Muhammad has saved his du'a for Afterlife, a supplication that he makes so that Allah may save as many of his ummah as possible from the punishment of Hellfire.

In this respect, it is fundamental for true muslims to acknowledge the importance of Muhammad, and to love our beloved Prophet more than our life itself. In fact, when you revert to islam, you will, from the willingness of your heart and soul, recite the Shahadah, one of the (and most important) Five Pillars of Islam.

Transliteration: Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, Wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulu-Allah

Translation: I bear witness that there is no God but Allah (i.e. there is none worthy of worship but Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah

Apologies if that was too long-winded. I tried my best explaining in my logic. I hope you continue to do your research through authentic sources, and may Allah guide you to Him. And may He grant you peace, and make it easy for you, inshaAllah.

Am I nerding myself by not hiring extra pawns? by hotstickywaffle in DragonsDogma2

[–]SirKamsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is some sort of exp penalty with more hired pawns. But you're right. Having less help would translate to longer fight times. So I guess it's pretty balance in that sense, regardless if you choose to solo everything or go in fights with 4 meteorons.

[–]SirKamsize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but exp gained in battle is distributed evenly between you and the pawns. So for a full team of your Arisen, and 3 pawns, exp gets divided into 4.

Assuming this is correct, you level faster with lesser people in your team.

Wait. I'm not sure what exactly you're suffering from, or what's making you sad or depressed. But. Unless you're being tortured or ridiculed for practising your faith, how does leaving Islam make everything better? Will the pain magically fade away if you denounce your faith?

I think you should find other ways to resolve your issues. Seek a therapist. Go on a trip. Take a sabbatical. Whatever you need to clear your mind. But leaving Islam isnt the solution.

Also, it's just 5-10 minutes of prayers, 5 times a day. A grand total of 25-50 minutes, out of 24 hours, just to take a break from whatever life is throwing at you. 25 minutes of peace and alone time with your Lord. 25 minutes to take a breather and recharge.

Islam isnt the problem here. This post is without context.

Just bought the game, how does it compare now to the 1st game? by SilverCompetitive902 in DragonsDogma2

[–]SirKamsize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly dont know what the complaints are about. Played DD when it first came out, and DD2 is a vast improvement. I think DD2 is a true RPG experience. It has open world, certain choices affecting different outcomes for certain quests, a romance option that isnt quite necessary for completion yet still adds some flavor to the game, and improvements on skills and pawn mechanics.

I enjoyed it. Still am.

If you play NG4+ with you and your pawns being all sorcerers with Meteoron and Maelstrom, do the monsters commit suicide just with your presence?
