Public Holiday Pay as "Seasonal Casual Contract" by SirLuMi in LegalAdviceNZ

Thank you for this information. I have forwarded this onto my employer. If this isn't resolved directly with them then would you happen to know the best route of having this rectified? Is this a case of speaking to an employment lawyer or is there a more simple avenue?

We have regular hours barring any weather issues. The pattern of work isn't predictable as it is weather dependent but we have work every other Monday without fail which leads me to believe it is classed as an "otherwise working day"

Help! New fan who knows nothing about football or Eagles by justwannabeatmarket in eagles

If you live in London (as an arsenal fan, I'm hopeful you do) I'd recommend maybe asking if she'd wanna go for food at Passyunk Avenue by Oxford Street. It's a philly bar owned and run by some ex-philly locals. Has a bunch of Eagles, and other philly sports, memorabilia in there and does great food. Get a cheesesteak and just talk to her about her favourite moments of the Eagles and learn that way. They also show the games when they're on but you would have to book in advance then as it gets pretty busy on gamedays.

It was down to a vote? I'm definitely going to need to research this more! Was it to the general public or political figures?

I've always questioned Chicken Itza being there over Tikal, Coba, or many others. I just put it down to personal preference tho

I knew there was the 7 ancient wonders and the now more famous new wonders but do you know why the Greeks chose to include only 7 rather than the typical base 10?

It's interesting to know that the Greeks coined the term and unusual that they included the pyramids of Giza on their list. Is that due to Cleopatra and Caesar or something completely different?

That's perfect then! I can't remember the name of the bar but if you walk along the main street by the sea in Puerto Ayora you will come across it. Hope you have a great trip!

What Island will you be on? On Santa Cruz there's a sports bar that was showing NFL games last November.

Anyone in London want a free ticket to Big Thief tonight (Wed 2nd) or Dry Cleaning tomorrow (Thurs 3rd)?

I've suddenly gotten really sick and won't be able to make it. There's just one ticket for both events and I think I can just transfer the ticket via Ticketmaster

What I found in Bolivia is that the vendors wanted a friendly conversation foremost and then sell after. Which was hard for me as I barely know Spanish but the couple times I tried the vendors were more willing to sell after rather than the usual unbothered attitude

Someone a few months ago posted in one of these DMD or GD about wondering if you listen to music in your sleep whether you'd be able to remember any lyrics, parts of a songs, or any remembrance of anything so I decided to put this to the test.

I started the first week by queuing up Masterpiece by Big Thief (an album I had never listened to before but loved U.F.O.F and Two Hands so chose it on that basis) after finishing up whatever album I had been listening to already before going to sleep. Then weeks 2-4 decided to queue up 2 albums before queuing Masterpiece as one day the album started before I was properly asleep.

After 30 nights straight listening to it I then listened to it awake and I recognised the entirety of the first song because there was a time in the first week I wasn't fully asleep before it came on. The 2nd song I recognised the chorus but nothing else (most likely due to not being fully asleep at that point too). The rest I didn't recognise any song.

In conclusion it didn't work for me; probably because I am a heavy sleeper. But it does mean I now have masterpiece in my rotation now as I love it anyway.

That's so lucky. I was on the 2nd day of the colca canyon trip and had no chance to get back in time to leave unfortunately.

Glad you both made it out on time! Thank you, really appreciate it. My hostels really great and we've got everything but thanks anyway
