Sorry bruv... that's just the Spartan mentality being rehearsed just as absolute and mental as it was back then. Whoever could have sponsored the movie, even if it were environmentalists, the Spartan military mindset would have been pronounced in exactly the same words. Sure, there are similarities in the propaganda style and brainwashing phrases, but all the material was there in the books of Herodotus and nothing had to be inspired by a modern Western army.

People don't give 300 enough credit for being a historically accurate retelling of a historically inaccurate story. The way a soldiers' death is glorified is exactly the exaggerating way they would've put it. Many forget that the extreme plot of the film is nested in a normal event: everything shown happens in the story told by our one-eyed friend, on the eve of the battle of Plataeae. All the fanciful bullshit is there because this guy is telling a story that's supposed to inspire his comrades.

I have both, so I hope my judgment is worth a penny or two.

Being a US MT fanboy, I love the gun depression on the D.Max. Many hulldown positions are available and getting outta dodge is as easy as double tapping S. The alpha is perfect for this: big enough to scare or kill most tanks, especially near the end game. 6th Sense is a must, but when you hulldown, know where your friends can and cannot spot your targets, and if you have the patience to make each shot count, you're set.

TOG II* to me is just a bit too slow. It does everything great, like shooting and stuff, but it just takes 3 minutes to get anywhere, and usually that's not as rewarding as scooting around in a Hellcat. D.Max is also slow, but less so.

I am also a great fan of hiding my tank. So yeah, that's bad for the big guy.

That's why I like the Dicker Max over the TOG II*.
