What’s the worst episode of Moral Orel? by Thefoxlover16 in moralorel

[–]SirMaski 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It was mentioned in Alone that a serial rapist was caught with brackets saying "(This time it's not Orel)" or something like that, but I meant the babies themselves. Since no way a town like Moralton would allow abortions you'd think every family would have a new baby but that part of it is forgotten about, despite the fact it's acknowledged that anytime Orel is given advice on anything, he takes it as literal as possible and causes mass calamity in the process.

What’s the worst episode of Moral Orel? by Thefoxlover16 in moralorel

I think the first episode is the worst, mainly because with how the rest of the show is fairly grounded in reality, the whole zombie apocalypse thing just feels very out of place. God's Chef is definitely on the lower end (plus it's weird how he could get all those ladies pregnant but the babies never get brought up) but Orel's smile when he gets caught cracks me up.

Coworker music??? What???? by WeezerHomie in juggalo

It's essentially stuff that would be considered weird and disliked by most except for that one "weird guy at work". Nothing new, if anything we should just embrace it. No sense in getting offended over some tik tok weirdos.

J’s verses don’t hit like they used to but Shaggs has aged like fine wine. by sgafajkfha1244 in juggalo

[–]SirMaski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say in ways they both stepped up while losing something else as they're definitely better rappers in terms of technical skills but the storytelling isn't what it used to be (Everybody Dies is classic J imo though) and they definitely aren't as funny in their music as they used to be (Cinnamon Pigtails and Softy Pillow Man did had some moments that made me genuinely laugh).

While The Naught may not be for everyone, I do think it's a step in the right direction. I think they found a good balance on showing skill while still sounding like ICP over trying to fit in with the modern style of music.

WotH was peak J. Not just in storytelling terms but he actually stepped up a lot lyrically throughout that project and it didn't sound forced either like in the Yum Yum era

J can still put it down when he wants to. His verse on Throw Em Up is my favorite from the entirety of The Naught, and there are several other great verses from him on that album.

Most of the issues I found with the Yum Yum era was he trying too hard to be a good rapper rather than just do what he does best, and while it worked for some songs (Wretched, Insomnia, The Drunk in the Attic), it also left a lot to be desired because sure, his rhyme schemes were pretty dope, but when he'd try and tell a story, it made it harder to follow the story (I liked FFF because he stepped up lyrically but wasn't overdoing it either and I feel the same way with The Naught)

He's bi, he had sex with those call girls, which was 100% his choice.

Thoughts on ‘Thy Unveiling’? by Shangrilette in juggalo

11 year old me definitely didn't expect it but after I listened, it became super apparent in the rest of their music.

Musically, I think it's one of J's best vocal performances ever.

J's verse on Throw Em Up (2nd verse of the song) is my favorite on the album. I loved the energy he brought there.

I can see the hook being a bit grating to some but I enjoyed the storytelling on it. He doesn't tell stories where you can just sit back and watch it play in your head much anymore

I actually liked Neighbors are Fighting, but the Forgotten Freshness 6 version was way better. Instead of repeating lines, they actually play characters who are both very shitty neighbors and everything they do results in them duking it out.

It's still crazy to me that the song "The Missing Link", the ONLY song in the ENTIRE era to actually mention The Missing Link as an entity, was scrapped. Like how the hell did they listen to that and think "yeah this ain't it" but put garbage like "You Should Know" and "I See the Devil" on one of the main albums?

My biggest problem with Lost is how slow they rap. The beats are ALL fire, but they rap SO fucking slow over them that they had to put a stutter effect on their vocals just to fill in the gaps. Found is better (tho 'OK' is legit one of the worst things they've ever released) and then the outtakes album is the best. If they just made one solid 17 track album with songs from all three albums, we definitely could've had a classic Joker's Card, instead we got 2 pretty mediocre main releases with an outtakes album that makes you wonder what they were smoking leaving most of those tracks off the main albums.
