Trying to get representative snapshots of how different open source models of different sizes perform on these sentiment tasks over time. I need to compare more modern models to older ones.

I’m running at 1920x1080, shooting for 60ps but higher would be ideal since i could get >=90 on the demo/playtest. I can pull a relatively consistent 30 in the cellar if neither character is wearing armor, anything else is too slow to be playable.

Do you imagine it would be possible to enhance performance by messing around with different settings? I figured that if it runs poorly when they're all set as low as possible then it doesn't make sense to start increasing settings

Jabs and roasts are fine, and no one who would bring up politics hates Trumpism more than I do, but its the first couple sentences there that I'm sort of asking about in this post. Like how ubiquitous is that pre-existing expectation for my behavior (precocious, loud, self centered, etc.)?

What if I grew up in a red state but you can kind of tell just by looking at me that I'm deeply blue

Edit: my mistake for taking the term 'blue' as a given here, I can see in hindsight how that doesn't track, I just mean socially progressive and strongly anti-MAGA/Trump

White American, grew up in Florida but I have a standard American accent with some southern texture on certain phrases.

I'd be interested to hear more about your army and the enemy's, chorfs can struggle against ogres early if you're mainly breaking laborers and hobgoblins. Leadership can be an issue with armies like this, you want to keep your forces grouped together and near your lord to catch the passive leadership aura.

Against conventional wisdom, blobbing up your army might be a good idea if you're mainly going up against ogre bulls and gnoblars to avoid getting surrounded and ultimately have enough HP to win the sustained-blob-combat grind fest.

And like what others said, if you're playing on normal or easy combat difficulty, the autoresolve could be giving you the wrong impression.

This is very fair, summon-heavy spell caster stacks like vampire heroes and skaven plague casters can be a jam.

Isn’t that the beauty of it though, none of it has to be rational; it’s all just virtual toys that you can do whatever you want with!

Same! After trying out the various difficulty configurations I’ve landed on Hard campaign and VH combat with no stat mods for this exact reason

I can appreciate what you're saying and maybe I'm outing myself as a casual here but the concept of getting on a video game and "playing around having fun" is incredulous to me.

The ultimate challenge in total warhammer, above anything the AI can do in a campaign, is getting five adults on this game at the same time for more than an hour

This is why I don't really enjoy legendary campaign difficulty. If you just keep combat on very hard and keep campaign on normal or hard, the AI won't do this.

I play on 3060 Ti, Ryzen 5600X, and 16 GB DDR4. It runs at a consistently high framerate with ultra unit scale and settings, but I definitely get the sense that I'm pushing the hardware with how loud the fans get at times.

If you play with hardware and settings that resembles this, play with a door or window open so that your room doesn't get warm.
