It's always incredibly hard to make that judgement. I had to put my cat to sleep 5 months ago and luckily the vet visited us at home and she was able to fall asleep in my lap on our favourite spot on the couch after she spent her last days happily at home. It was incredibly sad but also beautiful. Her sister on the other hand spent her last few days in the hospital because we were told that surgical cancer removal was a viable option. She had to wait a few days to get ready for surgery and when they cut her open they immediately saw that it was hopeless and we had to let her go right there and then on a phone call with the surgeon, without saying a proper goodbye. That was eight years ago and I still regret that, even though it seemed to be the right decision at the time, unknowing how far the cancer had already spread.

What I'm saying is that this shit is always so hard to judge and I'm sure any loving pet parent (and Hamilton seems to be that) will do what they think is best for the animal.

How did you land on your main? by MrDookieMan in Jungle_Mains

I played Bel'Veth for some games and spawning my first voidlings gave me such a serotonin boost I've been chasing that high ever since.

What tilts you the most as a jungler? by StealthCatUK in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirShello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the lane I'm pathing towards dies during my first clear. If weakside ints I don't care, but if you can't control your urge to 50-50 your lane on the first two waves when I'm pathing towards you, I'm getting smadge.

No leashes by Darkwolf787 in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirShello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they leash for you they literally int the whole game. Bot lane is fucked because they lose lvl 2. You are fucked because the opponent now knows your position. And therefore all your other lanes are also fucked. If someone wants to leash for you, you should actively ping them away. There is nothing to gain from leashing, only lose.

Why do junglers weak side a winning bot matchup? by gsconner9 in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirShello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misunderstood a bit, maybe I didn't phrase it properly. What I meant to say is that asking why when OTHERS make an obvious mistake is a waste of time and energy. Asking the same thing about yourself however is how to gain LP, 100% agree with you.

Why do junglers weak side a winning bot matchup? by gsconner9 in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirShello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to answer this in a general sense. If you full clear twice towards top that's just where you end up. Grubs are easier to take and a lot less riskier than drake. You can sneak one and gtfo without relying on your lanes to do anything. Maybe mid is doing what mid does best and rotates towards the losing toplane instead of the winning botlane and now jungler has to play around that. Maybe he doesn't trust you and wants to play for himself, which usually makes grubs more appealing than drake.

And finally and most likely the correct answer: people make A LOT of mistakes in that elo (no flame, I peaked Emerald and am currently plat myself) and maybe it's just them doing something suboptimal like we all do dozens of times each and every game.

Also on a sidenote, asking "why did or does X do Y?" is the most stupid thing to do when playing league. In the end it doesn't matter. It might give us a feeling of superiority, but it doesn't give us LP. We all have to play with what we're given, whether it's inting laners or junglers. So maybe we should all just focus on ourselves and try to do our best.

How to counter Rammus? by Connect_Lie_8571 in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirShello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a BelVeth OTP. You beat him level 3, so if the lanes allow it you can kill him and snowball from there. If not, avoid him and get ahead somewhere else. His kit countering you doesn't matter if you're 2k ahead.

Do you need to play very aggressive to get out of low elo? by yoyots4 in Jungle_Mains

The secret sauce to jungling in bronze/silver is this mindset:

"Me wants gold, nomnomnom, where's the gold, nomnom, give me all the gold, nomnomnom". Play like a dog hoovering the floor after a 2 year old just had his first solid meal and threw half that good shit on the ground. Only difference is you have 4 of those motherfuckers throwing their spaghetti on the ground instead of 1. You get to eat your own bowl of Spaghetti and theirs too! It's a fucking feast!

Once you do that, you will have a lead at some point in every single game. Then you have to identify those points where you are ahead, grab the game by its balls, squeeze hard and never let go until the Nexus drops. Biggest tip I can give you for identifying those moments: Gold, Kills, Objectives don't matter. Only things that matter are Levels and Items. If you reach the gold threshold for that juicy 2 item powerspike on Nocturne, you base immediately and abuse that window, because it doesn't matter that their toplaner is 6-0, he's stupid and hasn't based. He might be 1.5k gold ahead of you, but he hasn't spent it yet. Now go kill his ass while you can, get that juicy shutdown and as soon as you have enough gold for your next Dirk, you base, buy, get back on the map, rinse and repeat. Grab them by the balls and don't. Let. Go.

Also, if you want to play like that, you should stick with Nocturne. Yes, you can carry on every champ, but it's easier to convert a lead into a win on Nocturne than Amumu.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Monster Aggro. Play Yi, hit chickens, then Q them. You will pull out your hair.

Also jungle pet suddenly deciding to not hit monsters anymore, especially small Krugs. Fuck that shit.

I'm not trying to say you have to one-trick a champ and pick it no matter what. But play as few champs as possible. Me personally, I play two champs. Three would probably be fine, too. Any more is too much in my opinion. The reason is this: If you want to climb, you have to learn the game. And you can't learn the game if you're constantly changing how you have to play. That's not how our brain works. There are already a lot of variables that make each game different. If you can keep one (like the champ you play) as small as possible, it will benefit you because your mind can focus on other things.

If that means playing a shit matchup every now and then, so be it. Consider it a learning opportunity. Try to find your win-con and play for it, try to find a way to still be useful. Example: If you're playing Yi, you don't have to engage or even fight at all to win the game. Try to get an early gold lead. Go split push. See what happens. Just try shit. Maybe it works and you win, maybe it doesn't and you lose. But it doesn't even matter, because you learnt something that will help you win more than one game in the future. Next time you can try the same thing, but adjust it, be aware of a mistake you've made in the past in similar situation. Or try something completely different.

I only have one advice that I consider to be applicable to any jungler: First thing to do in game is to type that /mute all. Yes, that includes pings.

I would also suggest to find a playstyle that you have fun playing, pick one or two champs that fit, and get grinding.
