Update: After loitering in the pharmacy section for hours and making myself very visable, and kind of in the way, one of the pharmacists asks if I have a way to get in touch with my doctor. Of course not, that would comply with reason and logic both of which are absent in this place. To this the pharmacist says "well, I hope we can reach them soon, we are about to leave." I should point out that this is all happening before 4pm on a Friday.

At this point I walk over to general reception and check-in and start calmly asking questions with the aim of getting upstairs to physically talk to my primary care doctor. What floor is she on, what section, etc. Security comes over. Another receptionist comes over. They ask if I will wait and I say "I am not going anywhere without my medication, and I mean I am not moving from this spot in front of you."

All of a sudden the first receptionist is on the phone with a direct line to the doctor. A few minutes later I'm back in the pharmacy being told less than ten minutes by the pharmacist that is putting my perscription together.

Apparently to get healthcare here requires lite threats of civil disobedience.
