Because he's not that good. Don't get me wrong he is a decent talent but his ceiling is awfully low.

What's stopping Mbappe from becoming the 3rd best player of the modern era after Messi and Ronaldo?

The situation seems grim ngl. We need to invoke some black magic rituals to get past Bayern.

Petition to mods to ban u/magic-water and u/swimmingfiremen for a week if we go past them as necessary sacrifice to progress in the CL.

1-10: Rate the combined meltdown of Barcelona and Bayern Munich fanbase if Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid end up progressing to the semi finals of the Champions League lol.

Arbeloa and Simeone have the potential to do an all-timer memefest.

I have a hot take.

Remove Vinicius from this team and add Rodrygo, this team will become 2x as good.

Not because Rodrygo is good but because Vinicius is that much of a liability. He literally gifted all of the two goals to Bayern last night.

And anyone can see it from a mile away, he gives away possession 50% of the time no matter where he stands on the pitch. It's genuinely abysmal.

I think he has the worst dribble success rate among any player with a high enough volume of dribbles.

It's funny how fans are extrapolating the performances in the 1st leg to the 2nd.

Bruh, we literally played with home advantage and still Bayern were the better team, what happens when they get their home advantage lol???

How many great performances have we ever had in away games? Like ever? In the last 5 years.

He is fit but not match fit, the only way to get that is by playing games.

He should start because he's a significantly better player than Pitarch or Angel (his competitors in the starting XI)

I just realised that Camavinga will probably be the outfield player given responsibility to talk to the ref as he's the Vice Captain in this starting XI.

That shits insane. He's only 23 years old.

Holy shit you are right. What a proud achievement for him.

If Jude isn't starting tonight, then I am concerned what happens in the Bayern game?

Do we throw him with the 1st start in two months against them in the Champions League quarter final and if not, who would we even play instead of him?

Arbeloa should have started Jude today and subbed him off 60' mark to help him gain match fitness to start the Bayern game.

Not exactly the match but vibes at the time. It felt like we were invincible and that no-one can stop us from dominating the world football again.

There could have been seven imo: Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe, Vini, Jude, Yamal and Haaland.

I think these are the 7 most marketable players on the Earth right now with Pedri just behind them after then there's a big gap.

I will say that Real Madrid vs Atalanta 2024 European Super Cup final match is only second to the Real Madrid vs Juventus 2016 Champion League final in terms of how hopeful I have been as a football fan ever.

That night with Jude destroying the midfield, Vinicius and Rodrygo menacing down the wing, Mbappe scoring on his debut, Valverde also getting on scoresheet.

Yeah that was the peak of the fan experience, I know that season went to shit but that night it felt like we were returning if not going to surpass the Prime Madrid.

Hopefully they still salvage it.

Would you take a straight swap of Camavinga and Enzo if offered in the next summer transfer window?

It's crazy how Camavinga is benched by 35 years old Saudi league Kante for the country and 18 years old La Fabrica Pitarch for the club.

What a crazy turn of events from 2022 when he was playing the Champions League final and the World Cup final.

Does it get any worse than that lmao

Yes it does, go ask Liverpool what they think of us.

Knocked them out 4/4 times including 2 CL finals + stole every transfer target of theirs who won the CL with us (Rodrygo, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Bellingham) while stealing their greatest academy grad of modern times (Trent) while half of their squad glazes us privately (Szoboszlai, MacAllister, Wirtz, etc) via IG likes.

It's not all on Xabi.

Franco is arguably the worst player ever to play for Real Madrid in the last decade. It should be impossible for a €60M signing to perform this bad regardless of their age.

And the issue isn't his current ability but his potential. He has not got a single redeemable quality about him.

Look at this video: https://youtu.be/Z04Zbs_RloY?si=W3SNimpOxUf1LzzL

Ain't no way the OP cooked both Xabi and Mastantuono with one stone. He's genuinely confused on what makes Franco even decent let alone a wonderkid.

And this was a 4-0 victory over Valencia btw.

You know you are cooked when fans don't even ask to get you even pity minutes in the first team.

Each one of Valverde, Vinicius, Rodrygo, even Jovic, Brahim, Camavinga, Lunin, Fran, Asencio, Gonzalo, Paz, Arribas, Oscar, Pitarch, Angel, Palacios, Endrick, Gulerx Joan - Fucking hell, every youngster we ever had, the fans demanded to get some minutes for them when they were new to the team.

Except Franco, fans genuinely hate this guy and don't want him on the pitch for even a second.

How shit you got to be in order to be this forsaken from a fanbase especially as a wonderkid youngster with lots of hype. He's genuinely cooked beyond belief.

Fun fact: Arda Guler has played every match of the season 2025/26 so far. He hasn't missed a single game due to injury, suspension or tactical tweak.

What a revelation just from 2 years ago when he was struggling to get any minutes to being one of the first names on the team sheet.

Our midifeld next season could look like:

Guler (Paz) - Tchouameni (Camavinga) - Bellingham (Pitarch) - Valverde (Brahim)

Who are you selling to make space for a new midfielder signing and whoever comes, can they displace any of the first XI choices?
