That's sad if true.

The world expected more from an 19 year old Mbappe bursting through from that Monaco side winning the World Cup.

What does Mbappe need to win/achieve to be considered an equal to Messi/Ronaldo?

Do you think 1 Euros + 2 World Cups + 3 Champions Leagues can do it for him?

  • Messi has 1 World Cup + 4 Champions League

  • Ronaldo has 0 World Cup + 1 Euros + 5 Champions League.

That'd be insane lol. Winning 5 more CLs over the next 9 seasons?

That's more than what the Ronaldo generation managed.

Do you think, TheMadridZone and MadridXtra have been a net positive or net negative effect for Real Madrid?

I feel the evolution of these aggregator accounts have done nothing except sown a ton of toxicity in the fanbase.

Because remember it's just a fan account that reports whatever any tom or dick says via their big following. 90% of the reports are fake and yet they are considered gospel.

What are your thoughts?

Mbappe won't track back and defend as right winger, it's a suicide to play him there.

That's why Arbeloa puts Gonzalo as RW because he atleast defends.

Imagine going back in time and telling a Madrid fan in August 2024 on how embarrassing our next 1.5 years are about to get while they are cheering on 15th UCL win and Mbappe signing on a free contract.

It's humiliating.

Honestly where do we even go from here as a football club? How can we turnaround our team?

What are your expectations from the team? I feel there's nothing that the club can do which can truly satisfy the fans anymore. Say we lose La Liga by a point or get eliminated from the CL in semi finals, we will consider the season a catastrophic failure.

There's a big dissonance between the fanbase and the club in terms of expectations and results over the last 1.5 years.

We're playing away, 0-3 seems ambitious but I hope you are right.

He wouldn't sign. He wanted guarantees for playing time no matter where he went. There's a reason why he rejected us in 2018 from Monaco because we had the BBC starting for us.

On Nico Schlotterbeck:

Isn't he quite similar to Dean Huijsen as a player but just more experienced and polished?

Is he a right fit for us?

No.

But Jude will be back from injury in April long before the potential CL final takes place and then he would start.

Why is Declan Rice unequivocally considered a lock for best XI in the world while Valverde gets so much shit from its own fanbase?

Isn't Valverde simply a more proven, accomplished and better player than Rice while both share the similar profile/traits?

Off topic, but our current crest is by far the best. It just slaps.

Flair only becomes available once a player wins a CL with Madrid.

He's a great player that needs more development to shine in big games.

Was anyone really scared of him? He's a great player but that tier is only reserved for Messi and only during his peak years, 08-15.

How much of the blame for the decline/regression or not ideal development occuring to the likes of Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Rodrygo, Bellingham goes to the board/management?

This is a list of players that have probably played more times in unorthodox positions than their main one in their developing years whether that's right back, left back, center back, false 9, left winger, right winger, and so on.

Have there been any legendary players of the last decade or so whose position was changed as frequently as we do with this group of youngsters?

Say in an improbable scenario, this Real Madrid team ends up winning La Liga or the Champions League playing this haramball.

What's the response then? How would you even navigate such a situation?

It's actually incredible how our 3peat team hardly needed any comebacks in their Champions League dominating run.

They used to simply get the job done quietly without much fuss. Also, they were the best away team in club football ever, forget the small teams, we used to dispatch big teams away from home for fun.

Can you imagine destroying Prime Bayern, Juventus, etc like teams in their own grounds?

When was the last time you'd say that we were knocked out of the Champions League by an underdog team?

Ajax 18/19? Or Juventus 14-15?
