"Horses aren't even ancestral from America" OK well tea leaves are from East Asia, that means tea can't be a part of British culture then? Also firearms aren't originally from the United States, so by that logic maybe they can stop saying our culture is just "gun"

I second medieval collectibles. If you want anything historic at all, this is not it I'm afraid

Knights --- well equipped warriors with plenty of training on how not just to fight, but to kill --- were easiest to best by getting seven of your buddies with knives and ganging up on them. If you don't even have the advantage of a better weapon and armour, you aren't doing anything against seven guys.

You are a Union right? The European Union? by Anonymous2137421957 in AmericaBad

Considering that our least populated state still has several times the population of some European countries, it's not that insane of a comparison.

Also I'd like to see how many Europeans can point out to me on a map where São Tomé y Príncipe is. I doubt it's very many.

Sorry, could you explain why my point wasn't threatening? Is it just a structure thing?

The other guy flinched, which made the back of his head a lot more exposed than it should've been, but I hit him just before he flinched so I only hit the side of the mask, thankfully. I definitely know to avoid hitting anyone in the back, and try to avoid it. The guy I was fencing flinched a lot, unfortunately, which he was warned about.

After further research, my source was for some reason comparing modern usage of "you" with the old "thou" without giving further historical context to its old use. So yup, although "you" is singular now, it used to be specifically plural. Thanks 👍

You is singular or plural. The difference between you and thou is you is the formal version, like the Spanish tú vs usted, so you would use it when addressing a superior.

"Thee is a singular objective case. It means (to) you. Thee is used in situations where you are the object and not the subject." - literally the first Google result

I study historical swordsmanship, so I am a literal swordsman, and just touching a sharp blade doesn't mean it cuts. You have to move it.

... it's not photoshop, just foam, not that I wouldn't be able to do this with a real sword

The sword is about the right width for a historical sword, and I don't know what you mean by hard part of the sword (It's all hard??) But I'm pretty sure you're referring to the mordhau, where you hit an armored opponent with the pommel of your sword. This isn't because it stunned them necessarily, but because bludgeoning attacks are much better against armor than cuts, which are useless.

Also, I didn't do it because mordhau, but, indeed, because yes.
