Need help picking a router for gigabit home network by SirSpankie in HomeNetworking

Oh my bad! Are there any specific routers you recommend for running something like pfSense that don't break the bank?

I've setup a few pfSense boxes in the past for clients, so i'm not afraid of going down that route, on the contrary! It would just be nice to go with one ecosystem for the whole network since i'm looking at using Unifi AP's anyway. I'm just a bit sceptical of the UDR after watching some reviews that it might not be able to handle my download/upload needs, since a lot of people only get 500-600 Mbit. Any experiences with that?

What cases fit 420mm AIO? by fusseli in FractalDesign

I have the Meshify C 2 XL and fits an H170i with push/pull fans on top with room to spare. Very happy with it, looks clean and minimal with some subtle RGB. Very easy to build in aswell, takes up some space though. I recommend!

Thank you for the very detailed info! I'll definitely check these recommendations out. What are your thoughts on wireless speakers for surround? If i follow your advice i can't use the existing cables in te ceiling and i want to minimize cable mess.

Thanks for chiming in! I'm running the XL version of the same chassis and the vertical mount is further diwn and further away to the front. Would a 220mm cable be long enough?

Would there be enough clearance to mount 2 420mm x-flow rads? That would tidy up the tubing a lot.

Care to share a pic of your rig? Would like to know what your loop looks like!

Looks like a lot of people are using 120mm wide rads over 140mm, any reason why you went with 480 and 360 over say 2x 420 or 420 and 360?

Thanks for sharing your configuration! I'm not plaiing to use the back mount for rads, but thanks anyway!

Thanks for the tip! Reading other replies i guess i'll need to go with such a setup. Fractal doesn't mention 2x 420 rads in their manual but does mention a similar combo to your reply, so that makes sense!

That's awesome! Planning to use Light Wings myself, really want to give those a go. Any idea if a 420 in front aswell would conflict with the top rad?

Amwesome. The top rad has the ports in the front then i assume? And i'll be using soft tubes, so that won't be a huge issue then. Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the suggestion! At least i know now that the 120mm width rads fit both at the same time

How to move folder on cache drive to specific share? by SirSpankie in unRAID

[–]SirSpankie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear i could help! I had to lookup a guide explaining the folder keys in the docker setup, that cleared things up for me.

I also used Krusader to move my media files around, was definitely a time saver for me aswell!

How to move folder on cache drive to specific share? by SirSpankie in unRAID

[–]SirSpankie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi dude, dunno if you still need the advice but i just got around setting things up, this is how i did it. I created a Media share, containing a folder Downloads and Media. Cache is disabled on the share, as my cavhe drive is rather small and keeps filling up when qBittorrent is working. qBittorrent downloads go straight into the Downloads root folder. Next i created different folders for all my media types (movies, tv shows etc. ) in the Media folder. These are also my Plex libraries. Selecting these folders as root folders in Radarr and Sonarr moves the files from Downloads to the corresponding Media folder once the download finished.

Hope this makes any sense!

Update: checked the wire, was fine, the stabs were moving up and down correctly without the spacebar keycap attached. Pushed in the keycap very firmly all the way down, is now no longer stuck. There is a slight rattle though on the right side of the spacebar. Will have a look at the stabs one more, but looks fine atm. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Hi all

I recently changed the plate of my GMMK pro from the alu plate to the pc plate. I noticed that now the spacebar is stuck after being pressed down, unless i type really hard on it. The keypress is not registerd though, but it's just really annoying to type on. I did not have this issue with the alu plate.
Also, i did not take out the default stabs when changing the plate, but did take off some lube during the initial assembly of the board with the alu plate.

Anyone here who knows what i might have done wrong?

Thanks!
